Here's what your feedback produced: Dimension for WJMS and vertical for NV Whino

I went back out today, cracked the ice and shot from the side to get dimension.
Then I cropped and flipped them to make them vertical (I do not shoot vertical well at all and rarely ever like the results when I do)

At the risk of overkill of your time and interest I present the Sunday version,
same theme and place, these do in my opinion do look more like photos than they do paintings.

1. yes!
there is nothing wrong with something, particularly a photograph, looking like a photograph.

not that I think there is anything wrong with it looking like a painting either, it _is_ a photograph

I like #1 from the previous set... I LOVE #1 and #3 here.

2. I like these, but I think I like the flat-on approach better
But, really, it depends on the end goal. The dimension of these, with the hard and soft focus that the angle creates, tends to make them photographs unto themselves. If the end goal were card backgrounds, the flat on approach, which tends to turn them into art rather than a photo, would be better. Either way, they are delightful to look at.

really beautiful.

7. I'm fond of that one too.
The blue is really amazing..
I showed these as I cropped and adjusted them, then I just quit. There are more I have not even played with. This was a successful venture.
Vielen Dank!

10. You had mentioned
that you might want to do a painting of one of these.

Why not just print one up really big on canvas? Any one of these would look fantastic really really big. These are great!

11. These are also good but I
still love the first one of the other set. I do like the 4th one here but then it is completely different. I love the concept might have to play around one day myself. maybe with petals. hmmmm

12. Thanks for looking and the comments, CC.
The first one of the other set has gotten so much thumbs up, I'm considering using it for "white". I have one other, but I'm not sure.

Whenever you play around with your camera and share I'm all eyes.

13. I agree with you.
The first one, we both like, has a mysterious other worldly dream like quality. The others, although they are wonderful, they are rather too realistic for my taste.
