Waterfall at night; playing with long exposures.
I'm not crazy about the composition of this one, but I'm having fun with all the melting going on and playing with my still-new-to-me camera.

This is a 10-second exposure at 8:30 p.m. I warmed it up a little bit and boosted the contrast a shade.

1. Nice shot. Waterfalls are on my....
project list. More of a reason to work with long exposures and a tripod.

2. Thanks. I have no tripod, and it shows, I'm afraid.
It's on my wish-list, though.

is pretty nice.

5. Well, I did put the camera on a rock.
Which, I know, is totally asking for trouble.

13. A remote switch or use the timer to eliminate shake from
activating the shutter.

12. Thank you! A tripod would make this kind of pic so much easier...
...and I'd love a remote!

6. Thanks!
It was running a lot better last week, but I never had time to go out, or it was too muddy to get down by the falls. Oh well, at least it's something.

7. LOL, I just noticed the ice. Glad I don't...
live in MN. I'm finally done with all that.

8. Ha! I wondered if anyone would.
I live up north, and it takes awhile for sun to get down into the creek. We have ice pretty late down there.

14. First thing I saw was the ice
I'm just south of you in Iowa. There was snow not far north of me yesterday. Don't get me started on the April blizzard of '73.

Great shot, BTW.
