All that html stuff in the third thread, hmmm, I just looked back at my Word document for the third thread, and the coding was completely correct and the same as the first and second thread. Somehow I guess in the rush to get the crosslinks right something happened.
The only thing that threw me for a loop was that I had them (correctly done I think) all ready to post in different windows. I was going to just post them from each window. But of course DU would not let me do that when it came time to posting the second and third one!. I had to close out and start all over, which was just copying and pasting from the Word document, but then I had to add the titles to the poll all over again. That had been done already in the polls I had closed out. It wasn't that big of a deal, but in hurrying to get that done something must have happened to one of the pieces of the code to put the backlit definition into a block in the third poll.
I am putting this in here in case someone new wins this thing and thinks they can prepare ahead of time with three windows open, ready to post. No, that won't work. I've had that happen in the past a couple of times for my posts on DU, but just didn't think about it with respect to posting the preliminaries.
I have to say though, I haven't lost any sleep over it. But if I had thought about not being able to post with more than one window open at a time, I would have been more mentally prepared for it instead of kind of scrambling around. This is one of those things we need to know, just like no quotation marks in the titles.
Getting the photos by PM instead of your posting directly to the thread was hardly any trouble at all, and actually really a lot of fun. I also think it is going to make the final result more exciting. Ironic that someone in one of the threads wondered if the Photo Group was a clique. Wow, is that synchronicity or WHAT? First time I ever remember that being brought up in a contest.
