my only bathroom is being destroyed
YAY! the window was totally rotted out the floor was the world's ugliest '70's era ceramic, the presswood vanity was falling apart, the tub had no finish left. I wish I had a digital camera so I could properly share the horror. You will just have to trust me on this. It's all rather terrifying at the moment though. For now we can brush our teeth in the kitchen, use the toilet in the basement and go to the Y for showers! Just hold me, 'k?

1. I'm planning to stay in a furnished apartment for the duration
when my bathroom gets redone. I can live without a kitchen and a weaving studio. I can't live without a toilet and shower. I'll rent a porta potty for the crew, but you can't shower in a porta potty.

4. "Comfort Bath" cloths might be handy right now
They're meant for ill people who can't get into the bath. I keep these on hand for when we go camping. They're available at Walgreen's but they're probably sold in most large pharmacies. They come individually wrapped and you can even microwave them to warm them up. But go slow on that as they can scorch if left in too long.

They're large, strong and soft and you can get a good refreshing clean when you can't get to the Y.

Here's some at Walgreen's so you can see a picture of the large size box of packets. http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=303882&navAction=jump&navCount=0&id=prod397665

Good luck with your bathroom project!
