Question about Springsteen's Seeger Sessions DVD
I was not sure where else to put it. I have been watching that a lot today, and I just love all of it. Seeger has been a huge favorite for years, and this DVD is just great.

Now the question. At the beginning of the session, Springsteen welcomes a pretty young guy to the session. He refers to his dad, but never says his name. He says something about when his dad switched from accordion to guitar, and how honored he was to have him there.

My first thought was Seeger's son, but he was way too young for that. Can anyone help me? I never thought about it before.

Oh, BTW NPR has a great page comparing the Seeger version and the Springsteen version and a brief interview.

1. Maybe the guy is not as young as he looks.
I have watched several times, and it is mostly a side profile. Might be 40s anyway. The way Springsteen was honoring him, I thought he might be connected to Seeger.
