Any exercise/s in particular that you just can't stand doing?
Mine are push-ups -- even the "girl" ones. I HATE them. I work my arms out quite a bit with hand weights and a body bar, doing bicep curls and all the rest, but, still, it seems like I never get much better at push-ups and I just find them so damn FRUSTRATING.

1. I like push ups
I'm a woman and hate the 'girl' ones, though the 'real' ones a hard for some women.

Sometimes I really hate ab stuff, but I do it anyway. I'll be glad I did and it seems to keep my back from hurting more. I don't like calf exercises but if I don't do them I'll be sore after running.

2. I don't like weights in general.
It takes precision and concentration, slow controlled movement.

I'd much rather go for a run or a hike where I can just let loose and use my body how it's supposed to be used. I don't mind being out of breath or the burning in my legs when it's from running or playing with my dog but I HATE it when it's from lunges and squats. It's tedious and takes FOR EVER to finish to me.

The results are worth it but it's usually the first thing to go if I slack off on my work outs.

3. Pushups are mostly a chest exercise, not arms.
The triceps are involved, but on a much lesser level than the pecs. Depending on arm positioning and angle of the pivot, pushups can be a good chest routine as you can hit the pecs on all three levels.

5. do you ever see results from pushups?
for example, more tone in upper body, ...more strength,,, ,increase in number of pushups you are able to do....

it is hard to enjoy an exercise where you do not see any gain...

do you ever do any alternatives to push-ups? machines, barbell or dumbbell bench presses?

6. I try to refrain from it
from thinking some exercises are "worse" than others. I just try to concentrate on how everything makes me feel afterwards.

7. Sit ups and crunches.
Hate them! Other exercises I can do endless reps but when I curl my abdomen, the acid builds up and it's so painful!

I guess I should add pullups too since I've never been able to do them, no matter how fit I've been.
