Can anyone recommend a forensics messageboard or...
are there any medical professionals here who might be able to answer a question for me regarding:

how long it would be possible to detect GHB postmortem in a drowning victim (found within a couple of days)?

It's for a novel, and I'm wondering how long the body can be buried before exhumation and still have toxicology show high levels of GHB. Alcohol + GHB was involved in fictional character's death, and I understand the alcohol affects metabolism though certainly don't understand how this pertains to postmortem toxicology results.

Thanks in advance!

(FYI: I'm only doing the research, I'm not the author)

1. This search page might help.
I haven't checked the various sites listed, but at a glance it appeared that what you're looking for might be somewhere on one of them.

Good luck. :-)
