The ceiling fan repeated it's refrain, clunk, clunk, clunk, as it attempted to move the humid air. Beads of sweat pooled on her already damp skin, glistening by the light of the single candle on the bed stand. The sound that had awakened her was the creak of the decrepit motel room door. When you're undercover, keeping a low profile makes all the difference.

She reached under the pillow, her fingers finding the cold steel .38. Friend or foe, her mind raced, considering the options. If it was Chris "the Tweety", she wouldn't need the .38. She had been taught by the Master seito, a few kicks and it would be over. If it was O'liely "the Pervert", she'd use the .38. Couldn't bear the thought of touching him.

The shadow came further into the room, tall and lean. The eyes followed the curves of her body, and snark flashed in them. She felt both relief and anticipation, this was no foe. One hand turned the picture of Brett Favre, on the night stand, face down.
The other reached for THE tie, pulling the shadow closer. The suspenders fell to his side as.......

6. the subject line? Hell, he got me with the cover picture. I needed

to buy some black stockings Thursday evening and got so distracted by my 4-year-old shopping "helper" that I came home with thigh-highs instead of pantyhose, a mistake I didn't discover until I opened the package Friday evening. I wasn't expecting to see them turn up here, too!
