4. Howdy everyone
Checking in briefly. As much as I love Keith, I'm a bit miffed at all this coverage of the MJ trial. To me it is sooooooo not a news story.

Didn't watch at all yesterday and so far he's not starting out in a promising way.

Truth be told, I haven't been happy with his program for the last month. I feel like he's been doing soft stories. Maybe I'm wrong(No flames please because I still love Keith).

Anyway. :hi: to the KOEBers. Hope you had a great day.!!!

8. It's not.
I know a thing or two about the news biz and I can tell you that its the producers who call the shots - in most cases.

I'm sure KO has a lot of influence in the show that bears his name, but I'm guessing a committee of producers and editors make the final decisions.

12. That Gitmo story has me so ticked!
I heard a clip today where they were saying that the prisoners were getting better food than those on the front lines. That is supposed to make it all ok? That we feed them well before we torture them? And that we feed them better than our military? Seems they didn't take their foot out of their mouth, they just changed feet!

How about comparing that food to the food fed to the families at the poverty level or from the food kitchens? You think they would like two vegetables and two fruits that aren't sodium heavy?

And, they didn't say how many meals we feed them a day. Perhaps they get one meal a day, with rotten fish and rotten fruit!

They make me sick, these ass holes! What a shame that is to parade that slimy fuck out there stuffing his face as he (no doubt) stuffs his pockets.

</end rant>

I now return you to your regular scheduled Keef :loveya: fest

50. any takers on the life expectancy
of a Gitmo detainee? They sure as hell don't plan on releasing 'em unless forced to. And I don't for a minute believe they're getting these "gourmet meals". Maybe they're placed on a tray in the same room out of the prisoner's (excuse me, detainee's) reach.

51. meals in gulags
"Lazar Kogan of Dmitlag, cautioned uncomradely cooks about serving “pig slops” instead of “Soviet meals.” He felt the food being prepared was too “often tasteless and bland.” The Gulag, too, provided medical care in clean hospitals for ailing prisoners. What was unique about the Gulag, recalled one inmate, was that “you were expected not only to be a slave laborer, but to sing and smile while you worked as well. They didn’t just want to oppress us: they wanted us to thank them for it.”

http://www.policyreview.org/jun03/rose.html

Bragging about serving balanced meals might not be the best tactic for the administration, if they're trying to refute the comparison.

33. Sadly Gitmo has a lot of .....
...... innocent people. We paid the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan so many
thousand dollars a head ..... so the war lords just went out and rounded up
"folks" for a big pay day ...... "here you go Uncle Sam some Taliban & al Qaeda ....
can i have my money please?"

Real al Qaeda and Taliban should have been shot then and there. (Think of
the people on top of the WTC who had to jump to keep from being burned
alive) So now we have a bunch of pissed off innocent people who will become
terrorists, bin Laden walking free, and the Taliban controlling 70% + of Afghanistan
because asshole took troops out of there and sent them to Iraq.

What a mess.

but Keith will be on it for only an hour each Friday.

It's not really Keith's show, it's an hour's worth of Dan's show in which he will join Dan.

No one appears to have said yet WHICH hour...

40. Hi guys.
I watched the show but was too tired to run up and down the stairs to post during the show.

Fav highlights

1. Rusty the Narcoleptic Dog........that was so funny
2. Nice mention of DSMII
3. Guess that must be the family values stuff (Mary Carey Porn star for Bush)
4. The Gitmo Gourmet, Duncan Hunter. The detainees wet themselves but they had the salmon (or lemonfish as it were, probably a lemon carved in the shape of a fish).
5. Loved the 'really the last MJ puppet theater', especially the Claus Von Buelow and Snoop Dog with the giant spliffah. Too funny

All in all a great show, despite the gray suit.

44. Thanks for joining us, Bun-Bun!
My comments:

1. You loved Rusty the Narcoleptic Dog too! Omigod, if he makes THAT kind of stuff off the Internets a regular feature (complete with faux seriousness), he will have something almost worthy of replacing the News Quiz!
2. Agreed! I am so glad he didn't overlook it. But then again, I trusted he wouldn't. :-) See guys, I TOLD YA TO HAVE FAITH!!!!
3. Again, that deadpan silent stare after the line about "family values stuff"...yes, Keith, one of the things we love about you most is when you let that pregnant pause of yours say it all!
4. Yes, nothing like fine dining at Cafe Gitmo. Yum yum. We all just can't wait to eat there. Not quite.
5. The "really last" MJPT was a classic.

The only thing I would add that you didn't is the plug for his rejoining Dan (complete with geeky Mt. Keithmore) and the singing of "Don't Dream It's Over." Too funny!

If he keeps doing shows like this, he can wear the gray suit all he wants! (Then again, I'm still hoping for my favorite charcoal dark-gray suit/cream-white shirt/orange tie combo tomorrow night.)
