Look what I found! Free, on-line weight loss journal...
I just started using it today, and so far, I really like it!

www.fitday.com

It allows you to track your weight, intake each day, journal, it gives you reports on how you are doing on carb intake, fat intake, caloric intake. You can set goals for yourself, and it will tell you how long it will take you to reach that goal. and much more....

Very easy, user-friendly access and usability. Best part is, its free!!

1. I've heard of that one, though I haven't used it.
But it was highly recommended. I find that I'm doing a much better job of journaling since I have the WW online journal. I'm just a techie, I guess. ;)

2. While I haven't actually used the WW online journal, I imagine
the journal that livefit.com offers is pretty similar... I have tried to find an 'actual' journal that you write in, but it never had enough space for me, and didn't offer enough in the way of 'extras'. When I found this one, it just seemed to fit. And, as much time as I spend on-line, I might as well keep my weight loss journal on-line as well.

Also, I am purging my home of most extraneous paper matter, eg. magazines, unnecessary paperwork, etc., so this kinda fit right in with that goal.

4. Terrific! keep us posted on how it works for you...
so far, I am really liking it. You can add your own foods into the 'library' of choices, or select from their pull-down menu. I like that....

5. so far, I am really liking this on-line journal site...
its letting me know what percentage of my food intake is protein, carbohydrate and fat, and I just did not realize how I am overdoing it on the carbs! So I am trying to modify that. But fitday.com gave the pie-shape percentages (circle divided into pie-shapes), to let me see just how out of kilter I was. Also, it has a journal page that I can record my feelings that day, or how it went. I can add custom foods to my list of choices to select from, if their 1000's of selections does not include what I am eating.

So far, so good...

7. I have been doing this for 3 days now
and find it a great motivator as well as very educational to see the whole picture of my daily food intake.

Thanks a lot for sharing this site!

8. Glad it is helping you!
its really easy, I think. I have had out-of-town guests staying with me for the last week-and-a-half, so my diet has been pretty much gone. We are refinishing the floors in my home, and I haven't been able to prepare the meals like I would prefer, and we have been eating out a lot. Needless to say, I haven't been doing my journaling at fitday.com, like I would like, so when we get this project finished, and they go back home to Florida, I will get back on track...

which, to my eating patterns and choices will mean a lot to me because I won't "have" to prepare my little boy meals that he enjoys.....:silly:

and my hubby likes eating my wholefoods, simple meals, so no complaints or demands from him!

11. I'll have to investigate this next week, lavenderdiva! Sounds great!
Your name evokes some wonderful imagery. My granddaughter took a bath in lavender-scented bath salts on Saturday night. What a beautiful scent!

How did you choose your DU name? Do you like lavender, grow lavender, or use it as a signature scent? What about the "diva" part? I only think about that connected to the opera!

Let's see if I can find some information and possibly a picture of lavender -- I know very little about it since I'm not a gardener. However, I do have some scented bedsheet spray -- it's lavender!

Here you go:

In peace,

12. What a beautiful picture of fields of lavender...
Thank you! I love the color purple/lavender! The 'diva' part comes from my background in competitive ballroom dancing, many, many years ago. Thank you for asking!

I hope you enjoy fitday.com, as its a great site- and free! it will compile your daily and weekly eating information, and then tell you how much of whatever (fat, carbs, calories, etc) in a pie-shape graph. it will track your weight loss against your goal weight, and much, much more. I got tired of trying to find a daily calendar, that I could write in, to keep a food diary. None of the ones I saw, had enough room to write what I needed to. Then I came upon fitday.com online, and that totally solved my problem! its totally paperless. yeah!

How did you come by the DU name 'Radio Lady'? Are you on the radio, do you have a program? Your picture is lovely!

13. Yes, I am really a Radio Lady -- I'll PM you to explain --

Just had a midday salad, with a sprinkling of beef on top, the only meat I'm having this week. A nice cup of "Joint Juice" -- liquid glucosamine -- tastes good! It's an interesting drink with sparkling water as a base. My husband picks it up at Costco.

Here's a link:

By the way, I actually started my broadcasting career in TV at age 16 -- in January 1957. That was at the end of my first semester in college. I was a co-host of a children's television show in Miami called "Popeye Playhouse" --

Take a peek! Audience is full of twins because it's Twins' Day -- you are not seeing double...

Enjoy this day...
