I then typed in "complain about advertising," as the question, which gave me a blank email contact form to fill out. There may be a much better way - I'd love to hear it if someone finds it. :)

1. No, you didn't post it in the wrong spot.

You have every right to post that in the Women's Rights and Issues Forums. However that forum seems to be a magnet for vile misogynistic men to go to and spew...so this Group was formed where they specifically are not allowed. Crazy huh? One would think they wouldn't be welcome anywhere on DU.

I think it shows how fearful they really are of women when they have to post (in their most fatherly, patronizing way) "Sexy pics of girls are no big deal. You shouldn't worry about that. Why don't you spend your time getting equal pay instead of worrying about (fill in the blank)."

2. Woah.. yeah... I felt really blindsided :)

I got the sense by the time the third poster responded that I was swimming in some hostile waters in that forum. I did stop to wonder what in the hell they were doing in a women's issues section. Oh... to be so momentarily naive.

Anyways - thanks for the welcome and the reassurance that there is a space on DU to post these concerns.

5. Just when I think the world can't get anymore asinine

They come up with stupid shit like that. First degrade women. Then, "Camp Miller Recruitment Department? (I clicked on the the miller.com deal) This is offensive on many levels. Obviously pandering to drunk ass armchair warriors with right wing leanings. I got as far as the "ask us" site, but it looked like part of the game. I'll try googling miller to get to a complaint site. God! now I'm grossed out by stupid people again.
