I was searching for family of a friend of Mr.UP and used both maps of Covington, then thought to look here also. Next, off to Biloxi. My heart is heavy. If we had the money and the Ntl Guard/military that are tied up in Iraq for use here...

2. Quick screen captures...

I cruised around the coast, looked at Biloxi's back bay area too, comparing docks and FEMA blue roofs. Somewhere (around Gulfport?) both maps had post, but most 1 was pre, 1 post. Opened each in a separate window and kept flipping back and forth as I moved along.

Pre-Katrina, lower 9th Ward, New Orleans, near the levee.


Post-Katrina, same area. This is right north of the direct blast zone, levee that barge went through is on left. Brick houses don't float. Blue roofs are tarps.
