Two Software Jobs in Windy City
Sorry, I'm opposed to the local requirement for jobs like this that can really be done from anywhere, but anyway, if you want the recruiter's info let me know:

Business Systems Analyst w/ .NET and SQL development (up to $85,000 + Bonus)
We have an excellent opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst with a financial based firm in Chicago. We are looking for someone who can understand all aspects of the business processes and ensure the successful implementation of business requirements within the process. In addition, this role will assist with leadership activities. You will meet with users to understand the day-to-day business processes, as well as gather, define and document detailed technical requirements. We are looking for someone who can communicate with developers to ensure requirements are properly understood and implemented. Organization skills are must for this role because you will need to coordinate user testing and identify business issues potential solutions.


Enterprise .Net Developer (up to $75K + Bonus)
We have an outstanding opportunity for a .Net Developer at a premier software development firm in Chicago. This opportunity is great for someone who is hands-on, yet strategically driven and wants to play an integral role in the direction of the company. This individual will develop software as well as user interface, experience, reports and dashboards. In addition, the .Net Developer will provide ideas and opinions around applications and utilities to enhance production performance. Requirements: this candidate should have 3+ years of .Net experience, plus MS SQL Server, C# and ASP.Net.

I will just post one more -- This one is for Motorola in Schaumburg IL that I got from an acutal xxxx@motorola.com email address. Overall, I hope this illustrates that there are a few jobs available these days for software developers at least (although not for me, maybe someone else, there's something in my dna that has always repelled corporate world, I'm not as lofty as they are in their minds)....

> Global Software and Licensing Services (GSLS) provides the final step in configuration management, replication and distribution of software products to labs and end customers worldwide. We also provide critical services to products that span business units, in the way of product licensing, order fulfillment, and multiple distribution methods.

> Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations \

> Development responsibilities will involve all phases of the software development process: documentation and refinement of requirements; high level design documentation; low level design (data modeling, database schema design, and prototyping); coding; code inspection; unit test; test plan development, and implementation. This includes involvement varying from a single phase or task on a team project to full life cycle responsibilities for an entire project. Candidate must be flexible and able to adjust to changing priorities to meet business needs and schedules.
> Primary responsibility will be to work with teams that are currently using or desire to use services provided by Global Software and Licensing Services. This will require detailed analysis of the external team’s tool requirements, clear requirements definition and negotiation, detailed project plans, tool development, testing, user training, and implementation.
