Reports: Plame Was Monitoring Iran Nukes When Outed

By E&P Staff

Published: May 02, 2006 10:55 AM ET
NEW YORK What was Valerie Plame working on at the CIA when she was outed by administraton officials and columnist Robert Novak? MSNBC's David Schuster on Monday said he had confirmed an earlier report that she was helping to keep track of Iran's nuclear activity--not a front and center issue for the White House.

Earlier this year, Larisa Alexandrovna of the Web site RawStory.com, reported that Plame, whose covert status was compromised in the leak, was monitoring weapons proliferation in Iran. At the time, officials told her that Plame's outing resulted in "severe" damage to her team and "significantly hampered the CIA's ability to monitor nuclear proliferation."

You might want to blog around and see if you can find them doing this and give them a bit of pushback.

9. Bushco now has to ask, Where's Valerie now that we NEED her ?
Outted along with her company and companions. Is Bushco secretly trying to do Iranian intelligence FOR them ?

The Chalabi/Iran spying by Iran's intelligence service, that Patrick Lang has called 'good work', means that Bushco may have an ongoing treasonous proclivity that needs an Inspector General to look into further. If not, then Fitzgerald may have to do it for them.

At the very least a Democratically controlled House and/or Senate MUST begin investigations starting in November.

12. The whole point of her outing was to PREVENT intelligence
gathering. With no information, they can fabricate the story that allows them to invade. A friend of mine, a Middle East scholar, says this is exactly what was done for Iraq. There were hundreds of experts ready and willing to volunteer their information and their expertise to *, but were turned down every time. These criminals simply don't want any facts standing in the way of their plans.

Perfect insight. The WH don't need CIA info to attack a targeted country. They manufacture 'truths,' then do a media blitz to implement their dirty deeds.

Iran used Chalabi to dupe U.S., report says

By Knut Royce
Newsday
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2001935950_iranchalabi22.html

"" Patrick Lang, former director of the DIA's Middle East branch, said he had been told by colleagues that Chalabi's U.S.-funded program to provide information about weapons of mass destruction and insurgents was effectively an Iranian intelligence operation. "They (the Iranians) knew exactly what we were up to," he said.

He described it as "one of the most sophisticated and successful intelligence operations in history."

"I'm a spook. I appreciate good work. This was good work," he said. ""

This is all no laughing matter, yet it takes a comedian, Colbert, to expose in an almost covert fashion throught the guise of 'comedy routine' what is the equivalent of a modern-day Gettysburg Address, except you have to read the entire routine 'between the lines' !

Bush and Co. are guilty of treason, aiding and abetting our enemies. To continue the charade any longer, as the puppy-dog press wishes is ludicrous.

Does l'affaire Plame continue to play into Iran's hands ? You bet it does. They sunk her entire operation and now want us to 'confront' Iran on nukes ?

Impeach NOW.

34. That's what I thought. They could have meant it wasn't one THEN, but...
... wasn't Iran on the "Axis of Evil" back then too?

Either way, it IS NOW a front and center issue for them, and that makes this a story (which is why I think E&P meant "now").

31. Will this bring the end of bushco?
Now that it appears through shrub's poll numbers that the great awakening is indeed underway, if this HUGE story makes its way into the mainstream media, will this bring about the end of the imperial reign? It should, at the very least, bring more people over to the democratic side come mid-term elections. Whadya think? Democratic victory in House/Senate = subpoena power = impeachment. But then again, having Bush remain in office can only help Dems in 2008. BTW, I do think the story will come out.

44. Well, it looks like I may have made a mistake
I was informed by who I consider to be a reliable source that she was one and the same person, and it appears I may have made a mistake - I've written the person that gave me that information and asked again if it is true, and have not heard back from them.

I alerted on myself and asked for my post to be removed which is looks like has happened. troubleinwinter wrote to me and said that apologising in a PM and having the post removed was not enough and that I should apologise right here on the thread, that is what I am doing. I admit mistakes.

If It is acknowledged by the source that it is completely untrue then I will offer yet another apology, accepted or not it's all I can do.

Call it a "retraction", whatever you like, but if I'm wrong, I'm wrong and that's the only ethical solution to a mistake, it was my fault.

Here it is troubleinwinter, I hope that you are satisfied with my public admission, and wish you only the best, tho I may disagree with you about some things, this is not something that is an honorable thing to do if you are indeed not that person.
