Moussaoui Verdict Is In: Jury Recommends Life
Edited on Wed May-03-06 03:40 PM by cali
Unfortunately I think it'll be the death sentence. Hope I'm wrong and they were smarter than that.

Sometimes I really love being wrong.

edited to reflect that the Jury recommended life and I was wrong!

1. I agree 100%
I have little faith in juries to avoid bloodlust these days. Solid chance the judge will commute the sentence though.

3. More than that.
I have little faith in juries to avoid bloodlust these days.

Especially since anybody who professes an opposition to the death penalty is scrubbed from the jury pool. That guarantees that the jurists will be substantially blood-thirsty.

One hopes that the judge will understand that to make this guy a martyr plays right into the hands of the fundementalists.

2. They have to have at least ONE conviction for the 9/11 attack.
Personally I dont beleive that Moussaoui had anything to do with it.
He's a menatlly ill "wannabe", who wants to be seen as a martyr. His story about teaming up with Richard Reid is total bullshit IMHO.
