MTP--Seems strange Russert spent 20 minutes interviewing Bush impersonator
when there's so much serious stuff going on. He should save that for the next congressional vacation, which must be coming soon.

1. They just keep trying to water down Colbert and it won't work
One thing Clinton did understand about these people, they hate, I mean really hate, to lose.

2. I watched the Colbert bit with my father who hadn't seen it yet - he said
that he finally understood why the Bush impersonator kept saying over and over that his intention is to make people laugh without being hurtful and after seeing Colbert, he got it.

3. That's because he didn't want real answers

he wanted to keep everyone's mind on what they thought was a + for BushCONS.

6. Yep that's it
Minimize, marginalize Colbert by heaping praise on the impersonator...

the longer he talks to the impersonator, the less relevant Colbert becomes.....at least, that's the gameplan.

Good for you, Steve--you don't owe the national media squat! And even if you did, you're in the FAKE news business. Better that Russert should devote himself to inviting real-world newsmakers!

9. Russert had a choice.
Interview a guy who's become popular as an impersonator of Bush, or interview a guy who's become VERY unpopular impersonating a president of the United States.

Russert chose the popular guy.
