I have to wonder ... what will happen if despite horrible polls, if the GOP actually GAIN seats in both the Senate and the House?

If there's no other explanation other than manipulation and voter fraud?

What happen's when the monster is unmasked?

These people have had numerous years to dig in and they have a huge amount of power and money. What's to say that after the '06 election we really do start to experience a 1984 world?

Web sites like this will be shut down ... hell all web sites that don't adhere to their propaganda ... GONE.

The streets will be filled w/ police in riot gear and shields.

It's a scary thought ... but I don't think we've scatched the surface of the America these people will create after they've been exposed.

To preserve America we may have to have a revolution or a second civil war, like it or not.

I really don't think these people will give up power no matter what. I think when the dust settles after the November election that indeed the GOP WILL pick up seats in both houses regardless of low polls and/or exit polls. Actually I think exit polls will not be allowed in the upcoming election.

Once we go to war w/ Iran it will give "reason" to gas prices going up and will attempt to refoster the flag-over-the-head patriotism that was so successful after 9/11, and the invasions of Afganistan and Iraq.

The NUMBER ONE thing that should be going on right now is election reform.

While it won't destroy the monster, it can at least take him out of direct power. That won't stop the monster from continuing to occupy positions from within, but at least the monster won't call all the fuckin' shots.

I don't understand why the Democrats aren't freaking about election reform and voter fraud every damn day!

Ed Shultz only brings it up because his listeners hound and hound him about it.

Randi Rhodes has had black box voting on dozens of times, but there's only so much one lady can do. I don't think Randi, Mike Malloy, and Thom Hartmann can make election reform happen by themselves. The Democrats should be bringing DC to a halt to make this happen. It shouldn't matter if they should like a bunch of tinfoil hats and kool-aid drinkers. Without reform they will lose seats in November regardless of the polls.

If election reform takes places then you can think about a second move, only then.

If election reform takes place and over huge odds and a corporate owned and controlled media the Democrats take back the house, then it's investigation time. At the same time you resend the worst thing Clinton did (no not the hummer) the passage of the fucking 1996 Telecommunications Act. Split the fucking media ownership so many ways that a person would have to do a week's worth of research to tell another person who owns the media. Freedom of the press is essential to bringing the thugs to justice and taking back out country.

If those things took place then there would be hope. Guys like Pat Robertson would be laughed at, and the Christian Reich would be non-existant.

The country would have its head out of the sand and could concentrate on bigger better worries.

Till then the lowest denominator has control and greed and coruption rule the day.

The chances of REAL election reform taking place before the '06 elections is almost non-existent. It won't happen, unless there's some extremely hush hush investigation happening and J. Edgar Hoover has come back from the dead to take his revenge.

The future is grim and the more the monster is revealed then the more I fear it will tighen its grip and do things we NEVER thought would take place in this country. Right now the right can call those who question its "tactics" as tinfoil hats and kool-aid drinkers, but that is wearing thin. Simply changing the discussion or not answering questions is starting to sound like the Chewbacca rebutle from South Park. The dumber they look the scarier this thing will become.

Whether the followers of the GOP know it or not, the people they bow to are bad people w/ very bad past. They don't worship God or look to the rapture. They use religion as a tool to meet their end. People won't see the light though ... until it's too late. Every DU member could be standing in front of the white house and the media would barely cover it. We would be tear gas'd, shoved around, and hit w/ rubber bullets. Some would be taken to jail, suffer bruises and the pain of being accidentally left in handcuffs for more than 12 hours staight. This is nothing compared to what's on the horizon after the monster's vail is truly open for all to see. Then people will just disappear, like the web sites that will no longer come up. No news stories, just a continous rant about the country we're told to hate today, then a different one tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day.
