1. Did you hear this on the news? I didn't expect any coverage because of W's
press conference he hastily put together.

2. Text of Kerry's speech today
John Kerry at American University: “Real Patriotism”
May 11th, 2006 @ 10:46 am

John Kerry spoke at American University this afternoon about General Hayden’s CIA nomination, the news about the NSA having a massive database of Americans’ phone calls, the meaning of patriotism and dissent at a time of war and the assault on free speech in America today.

Below are Kerry’s remarks as prepared for delivery:

3. Great Speech... A LOOOOOOOONG Time Coming!
We needed THIS kind of stuff years ago! I applaud him even at this late date. Maybe the deep slumber our leaders have been in has finally ended!

OUTRAGE should be the battle cry, the onto THE REVOLUTION!

4. None of this is new
He's been saying it for a LONG time, but it's not surprising no one knows about it, given how far up Bush's ass the media has become entrenched.

8. Alot of points he has made before, but he doesn't have access to an echo
machine - that's something the GOP made certain of when they bought up control of most broadcast media in the 80s and 90s.

5. Damn, that rocked
Especially this:

Some people suggest we don’t have any ideas. You know, I have to laugh at that. If by ideas they mean running the debt up to nine trillion dollars, losing America’s manufacturing base, denying children after-school programs, cutting kids from Medicaid, and privatizing Social Security; if by ideas they mean violating the law, ignoring international treaties and forgetting diplomacy; if by ideas they mean filling the trough of the special interests’ pig pen – giving the money changers their bankruptcy bill, giving the oil industry their energy bill, and giving the big pharmaceutical companies their prescription drug bill — then they’re right: those are bad ideas being shoved down the throats of the American people by a Washington of bankrupt values and I’m proud we stood up and said no to them every step of the way.

The saddest thing about Kerry is that he remained silent while they stole Ohio. He should have backed the academics and others who exposed the strange happenings re those exit polls.

The idea of not wanting to make his country look bad while the election was stolen made no sense because the entire world knows (by now) that the chimperer is a naked, incompetent destroyer of constitutional rights. As Turley put it yesterday, Bush and his gang have brought together more than a few men who were guilty of federal crimes and pardoned by like minded politicians.

Bush and his gang have violated international law with impunity and Bush himself has violated 750 laws. Kerry had a chance to expose this in 2004 and he remained silent.

This planet is in grave danger because men and women remained silent from 2000. This Malaise is deepening - Impeach Bush or else we are all doomed.
