If Raw Story isn't reliable, Truth out isn't reliable

And Leopold is a fake, and Salon keeps attacking him because of previous bad blood.

We know Fox news is waste of brain cells

and MSN still whores for BushCO

And the NY Times still rolls over.

What source do we trust? I'm like the majority of Du I'm willing to sit back and wait. I've waited this long, I can certainly stand another 72 hrs.

Please don't tell me, just because Rove is on TV and his PR guy insisted that Leopold was wrong that Rove isn't staring down some serious court time.

1. We shouldn't blindly trust any media. Critical reading/viewing is
always a good thing.

Loyalty and faith are good human characters, but I'm not into post-modernism enough to accept them as lenses through which we should "defocus" the world to create an unchallengeable truth about current events that only believers can see.

2. Also, Leopold's wikipedia entry - actively edited with misinformation
It's being done by several different people. Now who would go to the effort of trying to smear him that way, and why, if he' s wrong, would they bother?

3. People smear Wiki all the time.
It's probably some bored 13-year-old who doesn't know anything about it, or a bored 40-year-old who hasn't gotten laid in 20 years.

7. Rove just said nice try to a reporter
asking about the leaks. Says he's off message re immigration and he doesn't know if they'll let him back in to the gates of 1600 Pen Avenue.

8. How long until Bush claims he barely knows Rove?
"Karl Rove?, I believe that he worked on our campaign. Never met the fella." GWB

10. LOL!
I can hear Smirky in my head saying, "Wasn't he that pudgy, pasty faced boy that always had doughnuts at our meetings"?

9. Question everyone
Skepticism is good.

Also, your premise is wrong. Truthout and Raw Story are not attached at the hip. They are independent of each other. At any given time one could be reporting correctly, or not. This isn't an "all or nothing" proposition. This goes for all of the media outlets and, along with any added spin, is the best reason for skepticism.
