4. Great coaching this year, not only did he keep the team winning, but
he also changed their whole character from the all offense jump shooters to the team that can play tough inside and drive the hoop when they need to. THAT is impressive.

He may YET turn Dirk into a guy who has all kinds of postup moves AND can hit the 20 foot fadeaway. For that he would get the Nobel Prize in NBA coaching.

Mavs came out on fire, you knew THAT couldn't last, but they started to love the outside jumper too much after their hot streak, and started to discount that the Spurs are actually a great team and that's why they have 3 titles... Duncan was a monster... Ginobli had some huge buckets, Parker a little less so...

I was really worried the Spurs would just win the end of the game, and then OT, just bulling it in to Duncan, or having Ginobli and Parker drive it or get the foul... but Mavs played some great D on the inside on those key possessions. And they just did a great job taking over from the beginning of OT when they could have easily folded after giving up that 20pt lead.
