Sen George Allen Claims on Live Teevee to be a
'flag collector' ...... which is why he had one as a kid.

He also did the youthful nonconformist thing.

And as to the noose in the office, 'someone brought it in' cuz he had a 'Western motif'.

I wonder where he got that spray paint back in high school ........

Hairballz .... catch it on th ererun in an hour

1. Yeah, what was that "nonconformist" bit?
And correct me if I'm wrong, but I read that he kept the noose and Confed flag in his office. I think it was as Governor. So, his asserting that it was a youthful deal may be a lie. These Refux give themselves all the latitude.

2. You're correct
I can't remember where I saw it, but he used a photo during his VA campaign for governor of him at his desk with the flag behnd him folded on a bookshelf.

14. Thank you! And a belated welcome to DU
I knew I read it somewhere. Probably from a link here at DU. He really down played it today. "Little ole noose", he was anti-establishment, yadda-yadda. Let me hold my side. I also just heard yesterday that he may not be popular with women because he chews tobacco.

6. According to Hairballz .........
.... this story is supposedly 'all over the Internet'. The Nation, Forbes, and a few other mags were mentioned.

Let's see what they have to say .....

Here's Forbes:
http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2006/05/15/ap2745427.html

They pretty much lay it all out there for everyone to see.

The New Republic thing is subscription only, but the teaser paragraph is pretty pointed:
https://ssl.tnr.com/p/docsub.mhtml?i=20060515&s=lizza051506

WaPo has a bit on it here:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/04/30/AR2006043001089.html

Richmond, VA's hometown fish wrapper, the Times-Dispatch, has a story, too:
http://www.timesdispatch.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=RTD/MGArticle/RTD_BasicArticle&c=MGArticle&cid=1137835640999

Kate O(please)Burn is saying when he did all this shit it was a 'different time' ... Dukes of Hazard and pick-up trucks' is how she framed it. She did, however, say one thing that was true: "Allen is lucky. By 2008, this will all sound old." Kate must be batty, cuz I coulda ***sworn*** he has a Senate race that he needs to get through before he can get to any chance for 2008.

The fucker's another self-invented good ol' boy silverspoon psychopath, like Dear Leader. Possibly even worse.

Somebody's posted it to a Usenet group:

12. Whupped and terrorized his siblings
so bad, his sister wrote a book about it. It's an astounding disgrace this guy's managed to get into high elected office.
