Lou Dobbs blaming the democrats for senate passing Amnesty
"this republican congress has been overrun by the democrats" omg lol!

ok here is the best part that will have Lou reaching for the nitro pills--"The senate included a caveat to the bill, the US govt. must consult the the Govt. of Mexico before building any fence along the border"

1. Was going to post on this. If anyone here still worships Dobbs
they really need to question their own beliefs and values.

This fat, lying, hypocritical douchebag claims to be a "true conservative" and is often praised as such.

Sorry, but he is no more than a 2-bit GOP whore.

The very idea that he could even dare try to blame this proposal, approved by a Republican Senate and a Republican President, on the Democrats just shows how pathetic of a shill for the right he really is.

Its sad.

Moreover, he keeps attacking the Senate's plan, saying "Who will pay? The taxpayers! The legislation we already have doesn't work, so why will this make any difference?"

What the sleazebag fails to mention is that these very same accusations and questions could be brought up with the House plan...

Who will pay?

How do we know it will work?

Dobbs even tried to compare this to the Medicare changes, and tried to blame that on Democrats too.

3. "These are not the droids you're looking for"
Uh oh everybody -- the jig is up and Dobbs is onto us! Run! Flee! Execute General Order 66! Leave no witnesses!

Of all the persons I thought would piece it together, Dobbs was probably the last one I'd have picked to do it.

Run!

17. I never liked him. I never found him particulary trustworthy.
So what once in a while he agrees with some of the same things as I do. He's still a repuke.

11. He just added that it was Arlen Spector who added the caveat
to the bill at the very last minute before the voting took place. He said that he just learned the information. Initial info to Dobbs was provided by Jon Kyle's office, I do not know who provided him the info about Spector.

13. It seems to me that the last few days, I have been hearing the Dems
arguing for a forgiveness of illegal entry into the nation. Forgiving an illegal action is, in fact, granting amnesty.

I do not understand the Dem party on this issue. I hope it dies in committee, or this country will suffer greatly for it. ILLEGAL IS AGAINST THE LAW, WHAT DO THEY NOT UNDERSTAND?

I was listening to one of our Colorado radio talkers in the early A.M. He was apoplectic over that insertion.

16. Slam me if you want
I agree with most of what Lou Dobbs says. He makes sense when he talks about the impact to the middle class. Also, I do not believe he is a racist. I am a liberal, not a bleeding heart liberal. Americans come first. Jobs, health care, education, etc...

31. Do you have a job and health care and an education?
Edited on Thu May-25-06 06:28 PM by Sapere aude
I think unemployment is around 4.5% which when I was in economics was considered full employment. No one is keeping you away from health care. If you can't afford insurance you can go to the ER too. If you are poor you qualify for Medicare. And education is a right in this country, there are public schools.

No you don't have a point, you have statements that are supposed to prop up your opinion.

These immigrants are not depriving anyone of health care and I am a controller of a medical clinic.

They pay federal state and local taxes along with sales and social security tax. The main difference between you and them is how you got here.

On edit,

If these immigrants were citizens they would most likely vote to change our society to one where there is more social justice for all. The have demonstrated their ability to join together to fight for what they perceive as their rights. They have won union contracts and living wages in cities like Santa Monica, CA. They fight harder for the things they want than we do. The things they gain for themselves accrue to you also. I think that instead of feeling like you are a victim of circumstances as you do, you should join them and all together fight for a more just and free country. Think of the political power we all could wield if we worked together rather and as two groups fighting for and ever shrinking piece of the economic pie. We could force society to make more pies for all of us.

33. Anybody that actually believes this.....
"I think unemployment is around 4.5% which when I was in economics was considered full employment. No one is keeping you away from health care. If you can't afford insurance you can go to the ER too. If you are poor you qualify for Medicare....."

is living in la-la land. The Labor Department is cooking the books on unemployment, and everyone on this board seems to understand that except you. The "real" unemployment figure is probably closer to 10%. Strange, Medicare didn't cover me the last time I needed medical care, and neither did it cover my nephew. We had to pay out of our pockets since neither of us can afford health insurance.

but who will now vote for Republicans since the Dems have lost their minds...

:wtf:

Again, its the Republican controlled Senate that let this pass, and its the Republican president who agrees with this...

24. Yet another republican acknowledging the weakness of republicans...
... For a party must be REALLY WEAK if they control both houses of Congress, the Presidency, and the SCOTUS, and yet STILL the minority party runs busniess...

What a weak, weak party the republican is...

Maybe if they spent more time actually trying to do good works, instead of taking bribes, they might have a little more control of the situation... Jus' sayin...

28. That Bill is not going anywhere.
There is going to be a huge fight between the House and Senate. Unlike the Senators, the Representaives in the House do not have the luxury of only a portion of them running for relection. Every member of the House is running for reelection and Immigration just became THE issue. Not the war, not Global Warming, Not the Economy. How they go on this one will be the deciding factor in whether they keep their jobs or get tossed out on their collective asses.

34. Dobbs is a "respectable" racist.
He wrings his hands over the danger that immigrants pose to the "American" workers in the same way that nice Southerners in suits and ties in the White Citizens Councils fretted over the danger to "White Womanhood" if the schools were integrated.
