The lost decade (2001 - 2009) RIP
There are many dark chapters in American history and this decade is one of them. It started with peace and unprecedented prosperity and looks like it's going to end in a orgy of incompetence, corruption and wasted opportunities.

America is a great country in every sense of the word, but such greatness spurs an equal need for virtue that is sorely lacking today where it is most needed - at the White House.

To illustrate how dark these days really are try this for a change. Imagine what the world would look like if the Bush administration had been in charge of some of the most defining moments in American history:

- New Deal (in your dreams...)
- World War II (not a good line of thought - not good at all)
- The Cold War (the mother of all nightmares - a nuclear holocaust applauded by RW-pundits)
- Creating the UN (not bloody likely...)
- Bretton Woods (It's that a golfer?)
- The Marshall Plan (Yes, GO Halliburton, you sexy little thing)
- Human rights (just say NO!)
- Cuban missile crisis (let the cockroaches rule the world - AMEN!)
- The Apollo-program and the crowning moment of American knowhow - landing a man on the moon (FUBAR)
- Great Society (better not go there...)
- The Environmental Protection Agency (supporting eco-terrorist. Are you kidding?)
- Ending the Cold War (Why?)
