Bottom Line: We lived in an Industrial Society. We live in an Imperial...
society.

Politics used to be about Capital (Republicans) vs. Labor (Democrats). It's now about Hard Line Imperialists (Republicans) vs Soft Line Imperialists (Democrats).

We used to prop up Dictators in the hope that they would accede to our wishes. We now directly occupy our colonies and incite civil war to prevent the formation of democracies (or theocracies) that would kick our asses out.

Now, all this contains the seeds of its own destruction. Right now it looks like it could almost work because we're buying all the imported goods and oil with the savings and credit we acquired during our industrial days. When that's all gone, we'll have to play an oily "keep away" game with those nations that do have a healthy industrial society. That means World War and, well, remember how the industrial capacity of the US overcame superior German/Japanese technology in World War II?

Not a pretty picture. Can we turn it around? Not if we don't even know what the game is.

1. Hard lined war promoters and soft lined war promoters.
With neither putting any of their own blood on the line.

Making us pay for it through our lives and OUR OWN money.

What is so wrong with this picture.

Until we stop going to play in their wars, will the wars stop.

3. Bullshit. This Democrat is about a return to an Industrial Society.
With protective tariffs and worker's rights.

4. I'm with you. Dick Gephardt's International Minimum Wage...
is one of the best ideas I've heard in a long time. And the powers-that-be gave it 30 seconds of coverage in the corporate media and we've given it two minutes in the alternate media.
