"Marriage Amendment"...the fundie overtones

"Marriage Amendment"...the fundie overtones
The backers of this claim it is about, "protecting traditional marriage".
This is BS for a number of reasons.
If that were the case then:

*Divorce would be illegal
*Marriage between races would be illegal
*Adultery would be illegal

The homophobic/religious fundamentalist overtones are obvious.
When asked, these people deny that their religious beliefs have anything to do with pushing this amendment.
They denied, publicly, that their religious beliefs had anything to do with "Intelligent Design" also.
Maybe they should re-read their Bibles.
Maybe they should re-read the scriptures that warns them that they will, in no uncertain terms, NOT enter the "Kingdom of Heaven" if they deny their Lord.
This is 2 strikes. 2 denials.
Their is going to be a lot of weeping and gnashing of teeth...if you believe in all that.
