If there is another attack made on US soil
in America, do you, personally, feel that we are/were asking for it, this time around?

In my own mind, the deterioration of our country's good name has been so sullied by this illegal regime that I can not help but determine that, yes, we were asking for it, and that while many of us here might think differently, the regime has so turned the American people against those in the middle east, that silence=complicity, and we will deserve whatever comes. We are no longer viewed by the rest of the world as the victim, but now we are definitely the aggressor, and if the Islamic people worldwide want to punish us for hubris, there is indeed enough reason for them to do so. Sad, it might be, but truth is often difficult to see.

1. Gee, with George Bush saying
"Bring it on", ya think someone might take him up on it?

It seems that we're more "asking for it" now with the unjustified war in Iraq that we ever were before 9/11/2001 . . . W's "cowboy" stance on other world issues prior to 9/11/2001 not withstanding . . .

2. A few young Canadian citizens seemed to have been preparing a terrorist
attack in Southern Ontario. I'm not sure what Canadians did to deserve that. I'm still unclear what Americans did to deserve 9/11. Or the Indonesians and the Australians did to deserve the Bali nightclub bombing.

And if people of the Islamic faith are so angry, perhaps they might consider focusing on Arab Sudanese (Sunni) massacring black African Sudanese (Sunni). Or the Iranian government (Shia) persecuting their Arab (Sunni) and Kurdish (Sunni) populations. Or the poor Iraqis (Sunni and Shia) being killed daily by their own countrymen. Or the Somalis (Sunni) fighting and dying in their civil war. Or the Egyptian government cracking down on religious worshipers (Sunni).

Staging terrorist attacks against Americans won't solve any of these problems. Look at what happened last time. But perhaps that's the point - few care about these issues.
