The Top Ten Reasons The Jersey Girls Can Have Vocal Political Opinions
10. Deena Burnett at the RNC Convention

9. Debra Burlingame fighting for The Patriot Act renewal

8. Because Tara Stackpole also spoke at the RNC Convention.

7. 911 Families.org openly supports candidates.

6. Because Ashley Faulkner was featured in the most expensive campaign ad of the 2004 election.

5. Debra Burlingame also had her opinion on the Domestic Surveillance program published.

4. Deena Burnett finds it appropriate to post her husband’s political views on the website for the Foundation created in his honor.

3. Because Cheryl McGuinness is comfortable using her husband’s death to promote George Bush.

2. And Tim Sumner gets to “strongly support President Bush’s reelection” with impunity.

…and the #1 reason the Jersey Girl’s get to be as political as they want:

1. Because even with all her editorial writing, Debra Burlingame still finds time to whine about how the Jersey Girls get more press than her.

17. Stupid things according to Reagan....
Edited on Fri Jun-09-06 01:10 PM by EVDebs
""Facts are stupid things.
Ronald Reagan
40th president of US (1911 - 2004)

Reagan was quoting John Adams' well-known quotation, facts are stubborn things. He certainly knew the correct words--it was a simple misstatement--but it makes a funny quote in its own right. ""

Republicans are stupid, period. Prove me wrong.

10. Bravo.
And I think the Jersey girls can play Ann's game, turnabout is fair play.

She's gotten them much needed publictiy, gotten them back on television, gotten people reacquainted with Kristen Brietwiser. They should deny her claims and try to move forward into using this free press as best they can.

14. Yes of course, she was qualified to give a response to the SOTU address.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0109/20/lkl.00.html

BUSH: In the normal course of events, presidents come to this chamber to report on the state of the union. Tonight, no such report is needed. It has already been delivered by the American people. We have seen it in the courage of passengers, who rushed terrorists, to save others on the ground. Passengers like an exceptional man named Todd Beamer, and would you please help he welcome his wife, Lisa Beamer, here tonight?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

KING: Lisa, what did it feel like?

LISA BEAMER, HUSBAND TODD WAS FLIGHT 93 HERO: It felt amazing. I already know that what Todd did and what those other guys that led to their ultimate death was not in vain, but to see the Capitol building standing here tonight, and to have so many people look up and say, "Thank you, because I was in the Capitol that day," was just such an source of inspiration and encouragement to me tonight.

<snip>
KING: What did you think of the president's speech?

BEAMER: It left me walking away feeling confident that he has his arms wrapped around this problem. It certainly is not going to be an easy problem to solve, but they already have taken specific actions, like the new cabinet position, which will make it easier for us to fight this battle than it has been in the past. And I have every confidence that this administration will take care of the problem.
