Any DUers going to the Take Back America conference

in DC next week? I'm not going, but I've been hearing about it on AAR and I'm surprised no one has brought it up here. Just curious who might be going and can report back to us on it.

3. I'm glad that at least one of us is going

I'm really shocked there aren't a lot of us going, especially those living in the DC area. I wish I could go, but between DC last September and NY in April, I don't think I'll be traveling much for a while.

4. If the drugs war is off the table...

its not worth attending.

The drugs war is the core problem where progressives are being thrown in prison
and having their voting rights stripped, where racism is endemic to the entire
law enforcement framework. WIthout addressing this, there is no progressive
taking back of anything.

As will about 4 or 5 other DUers that I know of. It sounds like a lot of fun and a very informative event.

Sen. Harry Reid on Monday
Senators Hillary Clinton and John Kerry on Tuesday
Senator Russ Feingold and Barack Obama on Wednesday.

Plus a slew of people for the panel discussions. (Too many to mention.) It's going to be great!
