Bush says US troops out only after "victory" in Iraq

CAMP DAVID, Md., June 9 (Reuters) - President George W. Bush said on Friday he would like to see U.S. troops out of Iraq as soon as possible but reiterated U.S. resolve to stay until the Iraqi government is able to secure the country on its own.

Seeking to quell speculation that the killing of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi on Wednesday would open the way for U.S. troop reductions, Bush said the death of al Qaeda's leader in Iraq would "help a lot" but would not end the Iraq war.

"I do not want the American people to think that a war is won with the death of one person," Bush said at a joint news conference with Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen at the presidential retreat at Camp David.

Zarqawi's killing gave Bush a desperately needed success in Iraq, the most significant since Saddam Hussein's capture in December 2003, as he tries to revive sagging American confidence in his handling of the war and lift his own low approval ratings.

1. I think Little Lord Pissypants should go to Iraq himself and lead
the military operations and set up camp there.

2. "the death of one person?"
Where in the hell did he get that number. Let's see 2489 American service people, untold numbers of Iraqis, I have lost count of American contractors, and foreign aid workers. So where does this bullshit one dead person come from??

3. He's so courageous!
I wish he could be spared from his bike riding, er, deciding, long enough to don his codpiece and other military paraphernalia and personally assume his rightful position in the vanguard and lead our troops into the fray as I know he longs to do!

4. Ghee why would Americans think that
So he doesn't want me to think the war is won or lost by the death of 1 person. Where do Americans keep getting these false notions on Iraq? Hmm...

6. The end of a propaganda stunt will change absolutely nothing in Iraq.
THese dumbasses will just find a new guy to blame when they bomb a house full of innocent civilians.

Zarqawi's killing gave * a desperately needed success in Iraq

Some success, the fucking guy doesn't even exist on this plane.
