I just got this email from my boss: Her brother is in Iraq
Good Afternoon Everyone,

Just recently, in the news, you may have seen that there were individuals that lost their lives, in IRAQ. Those individuals were all a part of Jessie's company. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Jessie does not know that our Dad was just admitted to the hospital, this morning, with pneumonia. He is 85 years old, very fragile and he also needs your thoughts and prayers.

She sends her brother and his group shipments of food almost weekly. She keeps her office conference table loaded with goodies for them and always talks about how much they tell Jessie they appreciate getting things from her.

I'm just sharing this with you so that you can send good thoughts their way today. This puts a real face on the war for me.

Send good thoughts and prayers for not just Jessie, but for all of them serving in this illegal war.

5. Emergency leave is granted by commanders if optempo permits
Generally, if they can spare the member, they allow it. If they can't, they don't.

I never turned one down--you just don't get good performance out of anyone when their thoughts are miles away.

6. No.
He might have a hard time getting to go back for the funeral should the worst happen.

Good energy that way!

"This puts a real face on the war for me."

Sorry she got such devasting news. That really sucks.
Sounds like my last few years, with the Dad being sick and the son deployed in Iraq.
Hope he gets back in one piece and alive. Tell her about MFSO!
