Sometimes W acts like a Hostage being forced to read things.
Edited on Mon Jun-12-06 02:15 PM by Philosoraptor
Have you ever picked up on it? His lofty state of the union speeches are delivered perfectly, by his standards, using two teleprompters, and weeks of rehearsal and coaching, but sometimes he's totally forced and robotic, usually after some horrible event.

They'll have him with too much make up on sitting behind his desk in the oval office with his fingers interlaced and stiff as a statue, reading in an emotionless monotone like a kid delivering a book report with an AK-47 pointed at his head just off camera.

And at today's little photo op press gaggle regarding his meeting with Iraqis and war pig generals, he looked exhausted, stressed, terrified, out of his league and floundering as his eyes darted around the room nervously.

More and more in public, he looks like a trapped animal about to chew it's own paw off to escape. He hates public appearances unless its in front of adoring Bushbots. I get the impression that he's a prisoner of his own stupidity and arrogance, the bubble boy, removed from reality at last, and only going out in public to sign things and make speeches and then, back into hiding.

He clearly hates this job, he doesn't even understand what's going on around him.

1. Jerry Spence
in one of his books talks about the "biological advantage" of telling the truth.

I don't think W has that advantage. And that's obvious.

3. I noticed it in the 2000 Debates -
Haven't watched a single one of his live performances since. I just hate the creepy feeling of feeling sorry for him because he looks so out of his element.

5. Duh! Cheney?
Remember Harry Whittington? Georgie boy is afraid he'll go on a "hunting trip" with Cheney, if he doesn't deliver the speeches the way his captors want him to. No wonder he messes up, I couldn't handle that pressure either.

6. Oh, I got that too.
He seems to view it even less as a duty, but more like some involuntary response to physical coercion. I hate watching him because I hate watching anything in pain, even *.

7. Psychosis of some sort.
At least a profound personality disorder. The signs point to it.

8. TONY awards: presenter had a republican puppet, other presenter: familiar
The puppet was from the Broadway show Avenue Q. The comment from the other presenter that a Republican puppet was strangely familiar, got the biggest applause of the evening.

9. Raymond Prentiss Shaw?
I mean the man has clearly had a drill bit to the brain at least once in his life. I think they may have put the implant too deep.

11. I don't usually watch when he's giving a speech but do you ever
notice after he reads, he'll look up while he finishes the last of the sentence and pause as if he's making sure everyone is listening or something. He does this all the time.

12. I think his exhausted, stressed and terrified expression probably
comes from the tremendous effort it takes to keep the smirk off his fact when he is trying to be serious.

13. I hope every second of his presidency is total agony for him.
Why should he be any different than the rest of us?
