5. He is one smart man
Tweety can't handle Redford. He is too delighted to be in his presence and Redford is so much more intelligent and always very calm.

9. Redford makes Matthews look stupid. I love it when Redford says "I
don't know" when the slob asks him who is going to be the best Dem. candidate.

4. Isn't he one of those smelly hippy, tree-hugging, Volvo driving commie..
Hollywood liberal, latte drinking, terrorist loving, anti-American insurgent, loony, far-left god-hating socialist wackos?

Or is he just a guy who cares about the health of the Earth?

Gawd, I'm in a weird mood today.

7. Yes, isn't he wonderful
Such a smart and intelligent human being. He is a pleasure to listen to. I agree with above posters, Tweety is in awe.

I like the fact that he talks about how things have to change and how we all need to change with it.

So transparent... Redford is great and he's right, the uproar from the public has started and it's the "people" who are going to force the politicians to DO something!! Redford still "has it" in my opinion...almost 70 too...

yum...

20. Is this true?
Barbara Bush told her husband George Bush that he should chose Dan Quayle as a running mate because he looked like Redford. Redford then began some speeches by saying, "Hello. I'm Dan Quayle." However, Redford resented the equation as he and the former Vice President are on the opposite sides of the political spectrum.

21. He spoke at the Take Back America lunch

Take Back America Conference Update - Lunch edition

Yum. Redford.

After lunch, Jerome Ringo, President of the Apollo Alliance explained the mission of the orginazation, which is to promote energy independence AND create good jobs. Check them out at http://www.apolloalliance.org/

Jerome was followed by Larry Schweiger, President of the National Wildlife Federation, who gave a wonderful speach about the importance of saving the planet for our children and grandchildren.
Larry told of the the parable of Balaam's ass, and how back in those days talking asses were actually rare.

Robert Redford presented the first annual Apollo Alliance "Right Stuff"
Award to Leo Gerard, President of the United Steelworkers. Leo, who I saw just recently at an Ed Rendell rally, is an awesome and colorful speaker, and he didn't disappoint today.
If it seems a little odd to give an environmental award to the Steelworkers Union President, Leo explained how and why the Steelworkers became a force for the environment beginning in the 1960s.
