A REAL Patriot has the Guts to point out America's Flaws.
Edited on Tue Jun-13-06 07:44 AM by Philosoraptor
A REAL American should always question his or her government, not take their every word as truth.

A real American has the guts to see American flags on the coffins of the returning dead soldiers, a real American is not ashamed to look at those who sacrificed all.

A real American shouldn't put up with the death of thousands of INNOCENT PEOPLE so cavalierly.

A real American should raise hell and fight back against the assholes.

A real American supports civil rights for all, and a real American can survive seeing a flag burned in protest.

A REAL AMERICAN PATRIOT HAS THE GUTS TO REMOVE TYRANTS FROM OUR SIGHT.

1. Just the nationalism, you know
What you say is true of all good people, ALL good people stand against tyranny.

In this, there are no borders, and no nations.

2. Gee, I guess I meet your criteria, and
I'm a 'real American'. Thanks so much. Now try getting down off your high horse. A real American doesn't dictate what other Americans should believe, or how they should act.

Seriously, Although I've protested against this war, despise the policy of hiding the coffins of the dead from the public, abhor the deaths of civilians, etc., I think it's beyond arrogant of you or anyone else to narrowly define what is or isn't an American. It's no different than someone from the other side imposing a litmus test on 'Americanism'.
