Lamont's brilliant strategy against Lieberman...
Lamont has said he will support Lieberman if Lieberman wins the primary, but Lieberman will not make the same promise. This makes Holy Joe look less a "Democrat" than Lamont. This could hurt him with many voters. If Democrats think Lieberman is going to go the "Independent" route to get his Repub supproters behind him, that may turn a lot of them off. He looks like a friggin' Republican.

HARTFORD, Conn. --A new radio ad that started Monday challenges U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman, D-Conn., to support Democrat Ned Lamont if Lamont wins the Aug. 8 primary.

In the ad, Lamont says he will support Lieberman in the general election if Lieberman wins the primary.

Lieberman has not ruled out running as an unaffiliated candidate in the November election.

"Joe, let's both go to the Democratic primary on Aug. 8 and let the people of Connecticut decide," Lamont says in the ad. "I'll pledge to back you 100 percent if you win. And for the good of the party, you'll pledge to support me 100 percent if I'm victorious. What do you say senator? May the best Democrat win."

1. One thing I noticed about Lamont when I met him...
... he is a successful businessman. He knows how to win.

2. Not a "strategy"
Just what a democrat does.

Joe is working for someone/thing other than
his constituency and the people of the U.S.

3. It is an excellent strategy
This is what should be asked of all Democrats to support the party. Will liberman be another zell miller?

Unfortunately, I still think it is going to be tough for Ned to win

5. actually you are right
This is just the start to take back the party. Even the challenge is a victory of sorts

It puts all Democrats who have not supported Democratic values on notice, either get on board or get out of the way

6. Ironically, Lieberman kept dogging Wes Clark about HIS committment
to the Democratic Party in the POTUS primary in 04.
