Do you really trust Bush to be able to assess with any intelligence the
real situation in Iraq?

1. I understand he has proclaimed
that it is hot over there. Does that count?

2. no, read this from Juan Cole
In almost surreal rhetoric, Bush said Iranian interference in Iraqi affairs must be curtailed. He said this after the Iraqi vice president and the head of the biggest bloc in parliament both went off to Tehran and praised Iran's stabilizing role. If Bush thinks that Shiite Iranians are the problem in fanatically Sunni Ramadi and Adhamiyah, we're in even bigger trouble than I thought.

5. I don't trust Bush to be able to do anything of any real substance.
And the lack of good intelligence is mostly between Bush's ears.

It's been with a great deal of bemusement that I listened to how "dangerous" his "mission" to Iraq was and the "great secrecy" and "detailed planning" that went into it, and how he was "in the cockpit" of Air Farce One as it landed.

You'd think he was single-handedly rescuing hostages in Iran, making Rambo look like a cowardly crossing guard. :eyes:
Harrison Stallone, our hero! :puke:

As I've said before, it's my prediction that he'll be martyred before the 2008 General Election. (Even though I lost my crystal balls many years ago, it doesn't take much to watch Humpty Dumpty plummet and foresee a splat.) All this "brave mission to Iraq" kabuki is totally consistent with the farce of gravity behind Humpty's fall.
