It is time to start calling George W. by a new title...
Edited on Sun Jan-15-06 12:38 AM by Plaid Adder
"President For Life."

To understand why "imperial presidency" is a bad thing, you have to understand that empires are bad. Clearly many of our fellow-Americans are unclear on this concept. However, everyone knows what a president-for-life is. Cause that's what Noriega was, and Papa Doc, and Saddam Hussein, and whatnot.

And if anyone asks you why you're calling him that, the answer is: Bush clearly feels he can disregard the 4th amendment whenever he feels like it--what makes you think he'll honor the 22nd amendment?

I figure a lot of people who are nominal Bush supporters still know they don't want this incompetent asshole in there FOR LIFE.

Think about it,

The Plaid Adder

On edit: On second thought, maybe it would be more accurate if we referred to him as "President For Cheney's Life."

1. I don't know, I kind of like "Lord Pissypants"
I heard another DUer use that title. But I suppose comparing Bush to Noriega isn't bad either... :)

2. Tell me something:
Isn't Fuhrer or Il Duce good enough for you, George? Oh yeah, those two titles have already been used.

3. A good point. And a related one:
For the NRA members -- what makes you think he'll honor the 2nd Amendment if he decides it's a threat to his regime if any citizen can own a gun?

16. My cold dead hands.
I couldn't resist.

Can we own firearms even if we don't join the NRA?
