For all the death the US is causing "over there" I fear there is going to
be major blowback here.

This gov't can't keep killing innocent people and not suffer repercussions.

I fear there is going to be hell to pay for what they have done to the people of Iraq.

1. bu$h and the repukes do not understand the people of the region
They will retaliate at some point. They are a patient people and they will retaliate on America. It may not be while the No. 1 Terrorist is in power in Washington, it may not be in the next 5 - 10 years.
But someday these people or their children will make America pay for what it has done to their people.
If it happens when our children grow older it will be one more burden the bu$h regime and the republican congress has laid upon the next generation of Americans.

My thoughts
We have been under attack for years already, I wonder if if we had stood sooner what would different today?

4. Attack? Attack from what? who?
Standing sooner? If you mean by getting our people out of the middle-east and stop bullying them around, then yes, we definately should have stood sooner.

5. That is all they really want from us - just leave them alone
let them have their own culture and live the way they have for thousands of years. We need to stop forcing our so called "freedoms" and religion on the rest of the world. Maybe they don't want it.

2. Every Iraqi casualty will have dozens of loved ones that will
hate America for the rest of their lives. That's a lot of anger.

6. I think governments can escape repercussions....but not the people
citizens pay for the actions of government

Yeah, it would be only justice for the U.S. government to pay for their crimes...but how often does that really happen?

Do other nations have the power to bring the U.S before The Hague? And will they?
Will other nations impose sanctions against the U.S.?

Will those angry at the U.S. limit their attacks...the "blowback"...to only government members? buildings?...or will they go after the most vulnerable? Those of us who do not have underground doomsday bunkers to run to?(the citizens)

The U.S. government will not bring her war criminal government to justice.(IOW's - the us government will not charge itself with war crimes)

but the citizens of America will continue to die for the crimes of their war criminal government.

I agree...there will be a reckoning....but it will be us, "the people", who pay that price...not our government.
