Jay Marvin just joined the Kos "9/11 denial" team
"There will be no calls regarding any 9/11 conspiracy theory."

Big Head Todd, his on and off co-host is on board too. Too bad Jay, I've listened to you for years. That ends today.

BTW, Jay Marvin is on the Denver/Boulder AAR station before Franken. He has also subbed for a few AAR hosts in the past.

1. Jay Marvin is the most repulsive human I have ever heard on the radio -
He filled in once for Jerry Springer and I WAS LIVID within moments. Marvin argued that HE DIDN'T HAVE TO HAVE ANY FACTS - he could just say whatever he wanted to so long as he was entertaining. If that is so, he should MOVE to the reichwing where he belongs!

:grr:

8. Marvin is a good guy. How many times have you heard him?
Back in Chicago he was the only liberal host on an awful right wing crap station called WLS 890 AM.

13. I've tuned in for his last hour for about 2 years.
He's usually fun to listen to, but stifling free exchange of ideas is a horrible idea for progressive radio.

He just said about 2 minutes ago, "9/11 is NOT a conspiracy", which is funny because even the official story describes a conspiracy.

14. I tried listening to Marvin a couple of times when he subbed for
Springer for a week sometime last year. I did not like him at all, at all, at all. I am insulted that he would claim - for any reason - that he did not need to worry about the facts. You like him - fine. I don't.

3. He said that months ago
He declared the "no 9/11" rule months ago when subbing for Jerry Springer -- as far as I know for the last time.

Not that Springer is much better ... :eyes:

I don't understand his rage; I suspect it's misdirected.

who believe that since the fires in the wtc didn't burn hot enough to turn beams and girders into into pools of molten steel- it was obviously a controlled explosion that brought down all the towers, including 7.

the "denial team" are what these deludes consider anyone who doesn't sign on to their crackpot controlled demolition theories..daydreams.

15. I don't believe the official story..
and I have no idea what really happened that day. How do you want to label me?

Regardless, I'm not even attempting to address the specifics of the 9/11 theories, I'm simply worried about stifling ideas on progressive radio and blogs.

16. If you don't believe something
why are you labeling others. You are simply a skeptic.
What does kos have to do with your beliefs or lack there of?

The repubs are trying their damnedest to take down kos, why are you helping them with this blatant smear?

17. Kos has declared that all conversation RE: 9/11 "conspiracy theories"
and vote fraud "conspiracy theories" are off limits on his site. Yes I'm a skeptic, but Kos and Jay Marvin will never know that because I can't even talk about it with them.

What does this have to do with Republicans? If anything, Kos and Marvin are making the Republicans happy by squelching any talk that doesn't fit the official BushCo story.

18. Hardly
That is just asinine. Kos will know you are a skeptic if you go and post as much in any of the open threads. You WILL NOT be banned for stating your skepticism. To say otherwise is dishonest.

What MIGHT get you banned is repeatedly ignoring the rules by posts unsubstantiated claims. RFK was front paged. Stolen election diaries have topped the rec list.

This is a smear campaign you are continuing.

It doesn't take a genius to see what's going on. The republicans are desperate to discredit kos, and in turn the high profile Dem's that post there. They are desperate to label kos fringe, and here you are demanding Kos allow discussion that helps them do just that.

It's not only you. Look around. Hell, even Malloy can't see the forest for the trees.

If dkos wasn't wildly successful you wouldn't give a shit what he did or did not allow on his site, and ironically if you had your way he wouldn't be as successful as he is.

So please stop.

19. You're in denial.. Are you saying Kos never made these rules?
How can I argue my skepticism if I can never go beyond "I'm a skeptic"?

That said, I do believe Kos has a right to censor whatever and whomever he wants, I'm just not happy about it because DK has been a good resource in the past. That's my opinion and honestly I don't give a crap if you disagree.

At LEAST on DU we can discuss alternative ideas without fear of being banned, even if some of them are moved to the dungeon. Thank gawd for DU.

21. Really?
Care to stake you membership here on that claim?

I dare you to post here in GD that you believe Clinton killed Vince Foster, mena air strip was used for cia coke trafficking approved by Clinton, and Al Gore is a war criminal.

Do it three time a day, three days in a row. Nine posts, and see if you last.

As for Kos, you can't prove you are anything more than a skeptic, so posting anything more is a huge waste of time, and unsubstantiated theorizing does more harm than good on kos because it is clear the high profile Democrats wouldn't touch dkos with a ten foot pole if people like you were allowed to clog up his site.

Kos has helped legitimize the net roots, the more that happens the more eyeballs get drawn to the internet. There are many, many links on kos to DU and other places your pet issues can be discussed, kos doesn't censor those referrals.

If you are going to criticize, you at least should do it truthfully, with evidence, and without helping republicans spread their lies.

i don't see anything much to question about what brought down the wtc.

i'll leave the inane questioning to the ones who think they know something about the subject, but don't.

9. I often stream him in the morning
He subbed for Ed Schultz yesterday. Calls were coming in about the voting machines. Just like he's apparently doing with this 9/11 topic, he completely refuses to consider there was election fraud and that it is possible there will be this November. According to Jay, as long as you get enough people out there, it can't happen. :banghead: Unbelievably sad.

20. Ya know, I'm really kind of surprised
For a board that is as concerned about Republican dirty tricks and media manipulation, I haven't seen anyone suspicious of the fact that this anti-dKos meme comes immediately after the dKos convention in LV showed everyone how effective that site could be in helping the Dems.

Kinda makes ya wonder.

The right is screaming "look how fringe kos is"
Some from the left are screaming "why won't you let us be fringe?"

What was surprising was hearing Malloy getting in on the act.

29. I guess then it would be verbotten to discuss on Koss
how a CIA cutout firm took control of the recovery of data from the hard drives in WTC computers just as there were public pronouncements that the recovered data was indicating an abnormally large volume of shady and suspicious transactions occurred just prior to and/or at the time of the attacks on 911. Too bad.

A Reuters story claims "Convar has recovered information from 32 computers that support assumptions of dirty doomsday dealings." And an article dated May 30, 2002, says Convar "had recoverd the data from 39 computers...and was beginning to work on another 62....
So, what happened to the WTC data-recovery story, and the "dirty doomsday dealings"?

We need to step back, and ask, what happened to Convar?

In June, 2002, Convar was purchased by security firm Kroll Inc., which employs a number of former FBI and CIA officials, and has a reputation for serving as a cut-out of US Intelligence. It's reportedly known as the "CIA of Wall Street," due to its revolving door of former-and-future spooks, and its role in corporate espionage and the destabilization of foreign governments.
