Wanted: examples of hate from O'Reilly, Savage, Limbaugh, Beck

Mr. Darth Sideous on phl.media is at it again, claiming that the left does nothing but spew hate when confronted with facts (never mind the fact that he has yet to present us lefties there with ONE fact). He demanded examples of hate from those in the subject line. I've posted two from Savage so far. Anybody have any favorites?

12. Glenn Beck

The question posed by one Glenn Beck, a program host for CNN Headline News, during his nationally syndicated radio program. Shanghaiist learned of the story from Mediamatters.org:

On the June 14 edition of his nationally syndicated radio program, CNN Headline News host Glenn Beck aired a clip of the documentary film An Inconvenient Truth in which former Vice President Al Gore states that global warming could cause many highly populated coastal areas to be submerged by seawater -- including the entire city of Shanghai. Beck responded: "This is what would happen to Shanghai. Does anybody really care? I mean, come on. Shanghai is under water. Oh, no! Who's gonna make those little umbrellas for those tropical drinks?"

Hard to argue with that logic. But rather than getting into a shouting match with a complete nitwit over such indefensible statements, we’ll choose the ignore approach.

We are however puzzled as to why a venerable institution such as CNN would give this jackass a forum to spew his crap. A former disc jockey turned talk show host, Beck is known for making outrageous and bigoted remarks: Calling Jimmy Carter “a waste of skin” and Cindy Sheehan a “big prostitute”. CNN’s decision to hire this clown with fore knowledge of his antics signals, at least to this Shanghaiist, a singular focus on ratings to the exclusion of all else, certainly not the journalistic professionalism and integrity we’ve come to expect from the network over the years. It is one thing to have a conservative perspective on the program, but it’s quite another to hand the airwave to an ignorant shock jock who has zero respect and tolerance for any opposing viewpoints. CNN, what the hell are you guys thinking down there in Atlanta? Please don’t force us to watch MSNBC.

As for Glenn Beck, he’s still on our ignore list. But before we start ignoring him, we do have this to say: “Glenn, go f*ck yourself!”
