Poll question: "President" Bush Poll
:puke:

I could barely type that. I'm curious how many (if any) DUer's refer to the idiot prince as "President Bush" I was listening to Democracy Now on the way to work and have noticed that she always refers to him as "Bush" which is certainly more then I give him. I of course am aware that she is hosting a major radio show and must show some decorum. I'm really not all that dramatic but I cannot even spit his name out without some sort of invective. Please weigh in.

Peace.

Pug

4. Depends...
...in a formal setting, I'd refer to him as "Mr. Bush."

Anywhere else, he's "Drunkie" or "the draft-dodging cheerleader," etc.

19. I swore I'd never call him president when selection '00 went down
But I, too, call him Mr. Bush when I don't want to offend anyone before I say something offensive about HIM. I've called him Georgie the Smirking Chimp, the Preztel-Dunce, President Mightymouse, and President Potty Stop. But I now I've evolved--I mean, intelligently designed myself--back to Georgie, because it so aptly sums up his arrested development.

6. In our house, effing idiot only refers to one person
so does moron, dipshit, stupid moron, effing moron, asshat and fuckup.

Either myself or my spouse can use the above terms, and it is immediately understood....asshole is used mostly by my hubby, but can also apply generically to other individuals as well.

All actions performed by the effing idiot are referred to as cluster fucks....also universally understood by each of us.

9. When I am typing I use bu$h
Never capitalize, never call him President and the $ indicates what his agenda stands for.

If I am talking I will use all sorts of expletives but those who I am talking to know who or what I am talking about.

at the helm of our listing ship of state does not deserve polite titles. I generally call him "The Resident" as that is the least inflammatory thing I could say and implies what a sham he is.

I never say Bush. Sometimes I say Shrubbie or Dubbie or Booshy if in a situation where it's necessary to be extra polite. I like to give him ingratiating nicknames like he does to others.

Beyond that, in a more "safe" situation, anything goes. I've picked up the best ones at DU.

15. That's the spirit - let's just deny his existance...
Did you ever see "Merlin" with Sam Neil? There was a scene at the end with Miranda Richardson (Queen Mab) where they all just turn their backs to her and ignored her - she drifted away to mist....sigh, if it were that easy. I still think of Gore as my President.

12. The proper title should be "Republican President Bush".
His name should never be mentioned without linking him to the party that foisted him on the American people. He's their president. They own him and they should wear his legacy around their necks like an albatross.

21. I call him "Mr. DNA disaster"
sometimes I also drop the Mr., because he's hardly a human being.

There's just one case I've called him Mr. "President" so far, but that's just because to make sure he gets it:

24. He is not the president
He was installed into office, not voted. There is no need IMHO to show him anything that even slightly resembles respect. He doesn't represent the office of president. Calling him Bush is as far as I'll take it. I won't even call him Mr. Bush.

26. I'm willing to own the problem of a "President Bush*".
Edited on Tue Jul-11-06 09:19 AM by LoZoccolo
I won't drop the asterisk because it refers to what was done in 2000 (for a long time at the end of the first term I referred to him as "the former governor"), but haven't really been given good evidence that he lost in 2004 (I asked for a while and got a lot of "if you don't see it you're blind" without a cohesive argument; sorry, if I can't pass the argument on without resorting to insulting people, I feel weird about believing it myself). This doesn't make him the right person for the job in my eyes, but serves as a reminder that it's up to you and me to work hard for who we want in that office. Even if there was widespread voter fraud, it's up to you and me to stop that too. That's a long-term job that's continuous and involves the years in between elections, being compelling to people for the general Democratic causes.

Let alone call that warhawk motherfucker president. Until we get someone worthy in that office, 'taint nothing but a paper title to me, bestowed upon him by groupthink dickheads who share the same brain that made this election close to begin with.

I would go as far as Mr. Bush, but that's it. I was furious the last time I was edited and they inserted "President".

Most of the time I just refer to him as that POS a$$wipe occupying the White House.
