Jean Schmidt campaign is close to broke???

This is pretty amazing. Mean Jean Schmidt's (OH-2) financial reports came out. There's something damn peculiar.

Here's the scoop for this race:

D-Victoria Wells Wulsin
2nd Qtr - $41K
Total election cycle - $62K
Cash on Hand - $25K

R-Jean Schmidt
2nd Qtr - $148K
Total, election cycle - $454K
Cash on Hand - $18K !!!!! :wtf:

Where's Mean Jean spending her money, and why is she spending it?
She lists $312K as operating expenses and has loaned her campaign $65K during the most recent quarter.

Opponent Wulsin's financials are horrible, but I don't know that Schmidt's aren't worse.

3. It's not the amount that's funny.

Many congressional campaigns are spending money. The issue is that her opponent has *NO* money at all. Why spend yourself into debt at this time of the campaign when your opponent has nothing?

I've heard rumblings that Schmidt is worried and is having problems. This certainly doesn't look good for ol' Mean Jean.
