Latest State Polls: Wow, look at Missouri - Blunt Backlash???
Edited on Wed Jan-18-06 10:09 AM by Laura PackYourBags
B** disapproval in Missouri rises 5 % this month. Could it be that House Majority Leader Roy Blunt, R-Missouri, who accepted more than $10,000 from Abramoff's firm and clients between 2001 and 2004, and intervened at least three times in matters involving those clients, has something to do with it?

Utah tops with B** approval
RI on bottom

P.S. Did anyone see Daily Show last night? Jon Stewart did a thing about Blunt's eyebrows - the permanent look of being scared. It was hysterical. Jon said, he couldn't be talking to the man without constantly turning around and saying "WHAT?" (like there was something really bad behind him)

1. OMG! Look at the expression on the woman to his left!
She looks like she cranking out a stool sideways and pissed about it. The guy behind him doesn't look too comfortable either.

2. That poll is very thorough!
It's interesting to note that as of now, a full 68% of Hispanics here in New Mexico disapprove of * !!! SIXTY EIGHT percent! It's also interesting to note that men here seem to dislike him more than women.

Thanks for the link.

9. But, note that in NC and SC almost 68% of Hispanics support Bush...
I think it's the job market. The numbers reverse for African-Americans.

Interesting. Are you sure those are the numbers in New Mexico because it would be interesting to know why New Mexican Hispanics dislike him while NC and SC Hispanics think he's just great.

3. it's a Baby Blunt backlash...
Most Missourians don't know and don't care about a single congressman - it's his son who's the danger.

The elderly and disabled here in MO are in deep trouble because of this drip-dry "Christian".

8. Shock of my life
My extreme right wing bil hates babydoc blunt and wants him out next election. His insane policies are directly affecting my mil and sil, babydoc is dragging all the pukes down here, even the freaks who came out in large numbers to make sure that gays couldn't get married here hate babydoc.
I hope the reptiles do elect papadoc to replace the bugman, it'll be a slow painful death for an insane faction.

20. I just had dinner in that Cracker Barrel
I like them, but don't agree with their racist practices.

OT, Baby Doc Blunt could end up catching some heat over under-funding student services at Mizzou. I hear there may be a lawsuit brewing over dangerous conditions for student pedestrians and lack of an adequate transit system that's resulted in a lot of students getting hit by autos, some seriously injured.

11. is he related to the "Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me" guy?
Roy Blunt Jr.? Or does Jr. just have an unfortunate name right now? Anyone know? (Jr. is one of us, in case you don't listen. And is very funny.)

12. Wrong Blunt that we're really pissed with
Roy's corruption is an open secret in the state, and has been taken into account. No, the Blunt that we're pissed at is his son, the govenor Matt Blunt. Boy blunder has been so inept politically that our AG has sued him, a petition to restore Medicaid cuts is circulating, and will probably be voted in, and people in both parties are already openly talking about running against him, either in primaries and generals. This has contributed to a general dislike of Republicans in general.

However it just isn't the state politics that is effecting people. We're also quite aware of what is going on the national stage, and more and more people are becoming pissed, both on the right and left. A lot of our Republicans are old school 'Pugs, and they hate what is happening to their party. And the independents and Democrats are openly scorning Bush and his policies.

I honestly think that we'll see Missouri go blue in '08, if not beforehand. And remember, for decades now, which ever president Missouri votes for, that is the one that gets into office.

13. Blunt’s people make it tough to say he sucks
Attention opponents of Rep. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.): Don’t waste your time trying to register Internet domain names such as www.roybluntsucks.com or www.stoproyblunt.com. Most of them are already taken. By the Blunt camp.

According to domain-registration site GoDaddy.com, stoproyblunt.com* and roybluntsux.com** were registered, on Sept. 20, 2004, by Friends of Roy Blunt, the acting House majority leader’s campaign organization, based in Springfield, Mo. Roybluntsucks.com takes you directly to Blunt’s campaign page.

It’s a shrewd move on the part of Blunt’s inner circle, given the often nasty nature of modern campaigning. Blunt spokeswoman Burson Taylor said they first started the practice before the last election cycle. “It’s certainly a preemptive strike,” she said. “We wouldn’t want anybody else to own them.”

19. Blunt
He may be the best thing to ever happen to Democrats In Missouri. After our dismal showing In 2004
Blunt Is so unpopular that Repugs are looking to challenge him,and Jay Nixon(our four term Dem AG) Is already raising money to run for Governor. He could also hurt Talent In 2006 on the Medicaid Issue. And Blunt could help Nixon with the Blacks since the busing Issue hurt his senate race against Bond In 1998 but with Blunt enough people want him out,and Medicaid resored to the elderly and Disabled.
