I think the * administration wants Pakistan to develop nuclear bombs
Edited on Wed Jul-26-06 07:45 AM by Maraya1969
Unless they are so f**king stupid they can't add 2 + 2 and personally I do not believe that.

This thread is about how the * administration knew Pakistani was developing Plutonium plants for bomb making and kept the information a secret.

U.S. Says It Knew of Pakistani Reactor Plan
Congress Learned of Nation's Nuclear Expansion From Independent Analysts

By Joby Warrick
Washington Post Staff Writer
Tuesday, July 25, 2006; Page A11

The Bush administration acknowledged yesterday that it had long known about Pakistan's plans to build a large plutonium-production reactor, but it said the White House was working to dissuade Pakistan from using the plant to expand its nuclear arsenal.

Randi Rhodes said the other day that the * administration wants to see the entire annihilation of Arab people from the world. Well according to this paragraph from the link off the previous thread they played their cards right by PROPOSING help to India with their Nuclear program.

"If either India or Pakistan starts increasing its nuclear arsenal, the other side will respond in kind," said Rep. Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.), co-chairman of a House bipartisan task force on nonproliferation. "The Bush administration's proposed nuclear deal with India is making that much more likely."

That proposal would allow the United States to share civilian nuclear technology with India.

Bush knows if India steps up their nuclear program Pakistan is going to respond in kind. So what does he do? He goes to India to help them develop their nuclear program. Now Pakistan is responding in kind. Is he surprised? He said that he knew it would be hard to get the US Congress to ratify his US/India nuclear bond. He KNEW congress would see this as an invitation to Pakistan to develop nuclear arsenals. So of course when Pakistan starts pumping up their nuclear program HE KEEPS IT A SECRET FROM CONGRESS

"Energy-hungry India will get access to US civil nuclear technology and open its nuclear facilities to inspection.

Mr Bush, on his first visit to India, called the deal "historic".

But he said it might be hard to get it through the US Congress, which must ratify it. India has not signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT)"

I wonder how he is going to encourage our next enemy to develop nuclear bombs? (Tell Israel NOT to stop bombing Lebanon).

Strikes Are Called Part of Broad Strategy
U.S., Israel Aim to Weaken Hezbollah, Region's Militants

By Robin Wright
Washington Post Staff Writer

Israel, with U.S. support, intends to resist calls for a cease-fire and continue a longer-term strategy of punishing Hezbollah, which is likely to include several weeks of precision bombing in Lebanon, according to senior Israeli and U.S. officials.

WITH "LEADERS" LIKE THIS WHO NEEDS ENEMIES?

EDIT: I am trying to make a distinction between nuclear energy plants and actual large nuclear bomb making facilities AND the materials used in these bombs. As far as I know you can't get any worse than Plutonium. Pakistan is planning on building a large Plutonium production facility. That is definitely for bombs. Nuclear energy plants are for energy but it provides the seed money so to speak to start on the nuclear war path. It is probably a big jump from what * wants to do for india and what Pakistan is doing now but the whole idea is that *'s attempt at helping India into the nuclear energy business is the basis for Pakistan's hopped up nuclear bomb making motivation.

1. The A.Q. Khan network operated with the knowledge of U.S. for 30 years.

The money came from the Saudis, and most of the technology was scoured from American and European sources, all with the knowledge of the CIA. The Pakistani nuclear program started during the Nixon Administration. This escalated after the Reagan-Bush Administration made a deal with Pakistan's military to host the anti-Soviet Mujahaddin that drove Russia out of Afghanistan. It just took off after that, and was never really stopped. By 1986, Pakistan had the makings for a bomb. The Clinton Administration tried to limit direct exports of nuclear technology to Pakistan, but by 1991 Pakisan had the essential components and know-how for full-fledged series production of A-bombs. They waited until 1998 to do their first demonstration "tests" during a period of heightened tension with India. The "genie was out of the bottle." Read Joe Trento's, "The Secret History of the CIA".

Pakistan Nuclear Weapons
A Brief History of Pakistan's Nuclear Program

Pakistan's nuclear weapons program was established in 1972 by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, who founded the program while he was Minister for Fuel, Power and Natural Resources, and later became President and Prime Minister. Shortly after the loss of East Pakistan in the 1971 war with India, Bhutto initiated the program with a meeting of physicists and engineers at Multan in January 1972.

India's 1974 testing of a nuclear "device" gave Pakistan's nuclear program new momentum. Through the late 1970s, Pakistan's program acquired sensitive uranium enrichment technology and expertise. The 1975 arrival of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan considerably advanced these efforts. Dr. Khan is a German-trained metallurgist who brought with him knowledge of gas centrifuge technologies that he had acquired through his position at the classified URENCO uranium enrichment plant in the Netherlands. Dr. Khan also reportedly brought with him stolen uranium enrichment technologies from Europe. He was put in charge of building, equipping and operating Pakistan's Kahuta facility, which was established in 1976. Under Khan's direction, Pakistan employed an extensive clandestine network in order to obtain the necessary materials and technology for its developing uranium enrichment capabilities.

In 1985, Pakistan crossed the threshold of weapons-grade uranium production, and by 1986 it is thought to have produced enough fissile material for a nuclear weapon. Pakistan continued advancing its uranium enrichment program, and according to Pakistani sources, the nation acquired the ability to carry out a nuclear explosion in 1987.

Pakistan Nuclear Weapons - A Chronology
Nuclear Tests
On May 28, 1998 Pakistan announced that it had successfully conducted five nuclear tests. The Pakistani Atomic Energy Commission reported that the five nuclear tests conducted on May 28 generated a seismic signal of 5.0 on the Richter scale, with a total yield of up to 40 KT (equivalent TNT). Dr. A.Q. Khan claimed that one device was a boosted fission device and that the other four were sub-kiloton nuclear devices.

3. Maybe I was not clear enough. Pakistan has a much bigger Plutonium
bomb making facility now and apparently it has jumped up it's weapon producing abilities greatly since the Great Ass has said he wants to help india with Nuclear energy.

I suppose a distinction should be made between nuclear energy plants and bomb making facilities and Plutonium production. Plutonium is the material that was used in the atom bombs set off in Nagasaki and Hiroshima . Maybe just having energy plants does not mean you have enough Plutonium to make atom bombs that blow up whole countries but it is a start, which is what * wants to help India with.

5. The Nagasaki bomb was plutonium. The Hiroshima was enriched U235

The light-water nuclear reactors that BushCo has proposed to sell India are inappropriate to making weapons grade materials. The plutonium residue produced would require further enhancement. Not beyond the ability of India to do this, of course, but not the most efficient route to making bomb materials and it would be apparent to inspectors.

2. I already assumed India and Pakistan had them
GFY cheney was helping distribute nukes with A. Q. Khan.
dubby cut a deal with Musharraf so he could hide Osama in Pakistan temporarily at least.
dubby has led to the spread of more nukes around the world than any other administration ever. He has his followers worshipping the bomb and has bailed on any non- proliferation projects and treatys out there.

Plame and Brewster Jennings were taken out as well.
