So why is Bob Shrum on Hardball excusing Chris Wallace's snarkiness
and saying that Clinton should never have called him a RW hitman?

Edited on Mon Sep-25-06 07:07 PM by Pithy Cherub
a presidential contest ever. Clinton elected twice. Shrum is going for 0 for 8 and is auditioning for the keep your powder really dry candidates running. He should retire to a farm for failed strategists.

4. Shrum..
... is a low-life sidewinder, he's not a Democrat, he's a surrogate that the Republicans can trot out, like Lieberman.

I hope he stumps his toe and goes into a coma.

9. I Really Appreciated All Those Questions Tweety Asked About O'Bierne's Hub
hubby...ya know, the dude who approved a lot of the hiring for the CPA in Iraq following the invasion. Ya know, the report that came out recently that showed that Mr. O'Bierne handed jobs to political hacks like a patronage ward boss...helping to really screw things up in Iraq that has led to thousands of American military deaths. Yeah, Tweety sure did investigate that area didn't he...

Ain't it something that old 30 Grit O'Bierne was more than happy to pop into Hillary Clinton's head and offer tons of personal and political advise on their relationship. I wonder how the she would react had Tweety wasn't such a beltway ass-licker. Surely had it been Hillary, Tweety would have been foaming at the mouth to find out what she thought about Bill's problems...here he had 30 grit right there and narry a word. Also, thanks to Bob Schrum for yet another DLC assist.

It's strange times when the most "Progressive" voice on this show tonight was Larry Sabato...

:sarcasm:

Edited on Mon Sep-25-06 07:25 PM by zulchzulu
He's done enough damage.

I've personally met the man and I can tell you straight up that the guy is an arrogant prick. He scared the Kerry team enough with his ego that the staff was afraid to strike back when they wanted. Bob Shrum had to have his fat greasy hands in the mix and putting his stamp of failure at every turn was his legacy for every race he's ever run in the US.

Ted needs to tell him to go have his pot belly danced on by some nubile Thai chickies in Bali for as long as it takes to make him take a dirt nap.

12. Shrum is a Republican plant. They can have him.
The only reason Shrum is so ubuiquitous on the talking head shows is because the hosts (all winguts) know that they can count on him (and Brazille ad Estrich and Caddell) to trash Democrats.

REAL Democrats aren't allowed on national television. If they were, Randi Rhodes would be as famous as Ann the Man Coulter.

13. Shrum has run several Democratic campaigns to the ground
This guy is a disgrace, and needs to stay the fuck away from any Democratic campaign. Shrum has run TO THE GROUND several Democratic presidential bids by appealing to the center-right and thinking from the DLC mindset. He haas to be the WORST political consultant out there, yet the Dems keep hiring him. WTF?

I am not surprised he was invited to defend the Clinton view in Hardball, and the scumbag ended up defending Chris Wallace. Typical DLC weasel.

18. Shrum needs to take a vacation to France again.
He began his political career as a speechwriter, first for John Lindsay and Edmund Muskie and later for George McGovern. Shrum worked for Jimmy Carter for nine days in his 1976 campaign. Shrum later worked for Ted Kennedy and wrote his famous speech<1> at the 1980 Democratic National Convention. Shrum worked for the Dick Gephardt campaign during the 1988 Democratic primaries but eventually came to work for Michael Dukakis when Dukakis won the Democratic nomination; Dukakis lost the election. In 1992, he worked for Nebraska Senator Bob Kerrey, who was defeated for the nomination by Bill Clinton.

In 2000 and 2004, Shrum was behind Democratic presidential nominees Al Gore and John Kerry, both of whom were narrowly defeated in the general election by George W. Bush. During his career as a political consultant, he has helped many members of Congress, such as Alan Cranston in 1986 and John Edwards in 1998; Shrum has also worked for Ehud Barak of Israel and the British Labour Party.

Commentators often point out a "curse" associated with the presidential campaigns that he runs since he has yet to claim victory for any of his candidates in over eight presidential elections.<2> Other insiders point to Shrum's involvement in the Kerry campaign as detrimental, citing that Shrum (and his firm's partners) will be getting a $5 million cut for Kerry's media buys (another $3 million will go to other media firms used by the campaign)which likely tainted his advice <3>. Interestingly, during Kerry's improbable comeback during the Iowa caucuses in fall of 2003, Shrum was on a 10-day vacation in France.

I know it's wiki but it is also shrum, I loved most of the candidates he worked for

19. What I hate is how they are focusing on his annoyance and not words?
They had a former Clinton cabinet member on NBC and asked him on a scale from 1-10 was that the most angry you've seen him. I'm @ 10 ! Why didn't they talk about * not doing something about the Cole or Going after Bin Laden when he had the chance for * months before 9/11? Chris Wallace is not a legitimate journalist and should not be respected as one.

Edited on Mon Sep-25-06 10:57 PM by w4rma
Al From and Bob Shrum are never to be trusted. Never trust the DLC. The DLC are saboteurs.

They are even trying to sabotage their only claimed success.
