10. That is one very real possibility...or at the very least a major US event
You can no longer deny that he they would stoop to that level to save their hide. They are getting very close to that kind of desperation. You can imagine the overnight support they would get. The monkeys numbers would escalate dramatically. Repubs would get a bounce too.

4. We don't want the news doing anything treasonous like reporting the truth.
That would make them traitors and/or enemy combatants.

9. Why the hell are they paying a private contractor to watch the news?
Edited on Wed Sep-27-06 05:03 PM by napi21
For God sake! Let the damn TV on in everybody's office and tell everyone to keep an eye on it.

As far as I know, ALL campaignsalready monitor TV ad's, stories & the NEWS! I'm also positive there's a "communications room"in the WH that already does this, so WHO is Rummy's buddy that wants to get rich THIS TIME?????

13. Same reason they hired one to watch PBS' NOW
because they don't like it when the media turns against them and dares to tell the truth.

Look on the bright side, FOX has been monitored for some time... Remember Cheney's list of demands? He wants all the TVs tuned to Fox whenever he stays somewhere, 'cuz you know they report the news the way the WH wants it reported. :banghead:

14. Could she have been referring to the new contract between the
US and a company that just got millions to keep monitoring the news coming OUT of Iraq?
(So the * administration can spin it, of course.)

I can't do a search. It was in LBN yesterday or the day before.
