But 'Wild Bill' brought that crap down on himself and his family. It's in the same league as outing the page; since he was a minor when this little affair began, the Congressional page's identity should have been kept secret by Bill. Since Bill is on the same side as the Christianist wingnuts, he should remember that divine punishment devolves unto the third generation. I have zero sympathy for human scum as Wild Bill.

Guess he ain't so wild now, huh? Fascinating how whiny these 'tough' guys get when their tactics are turned back on them. My contempt for any Conservative/wingnut/theocrat has become unlimited over the past five years.

I'd have derided him on his website, but he's disabled comments . . . guess all those Democrats who are actually veterans and actually know what being tough really is commenting on his dumb stunt shook him. Guess he's a pussy, after all.

I actually think that it was wrong to make the name of the kid public. It probably won't hurt the kid but it's still wrong. The kid is innocent.
Yet, one could argue that "Wild Bill" got a taste of his own medicine. When you are out there screaming, acting tough and out someone who did nothing wrong, you should know that some people see your personal life as fair game as well.
Both outings were wrong. "Wild Bill" is a piece of shit and deserves whatever he gets, his kid not.

I get *so* tired of this idea that politics trumps everything else, and somehow makes evil behavior ok. There are some things that aren't ok. How sad that we can't unify behind the idea that just because our opponents act like amoral animals doesn't mean we should too.

Isn't that precisely the idea we're putting forward with how to deal with rogue states and terrorists?
