Ronald Reagan Says It's OK to Switch Registration from R to D

I'm not quite there yet (my family's pleas notwithstanding, I prefer to work within the party to redeem the party), but for those DU'ers with friends or loved ones closer to making the switch from R to D:

1. Reagan started out as a Democrat, and said the party left him: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronald_Reagan

2. You can always tell your anguished GOP friend/loved one that Reagan's switch was the first sign of senility.

It's nice to see the loyal opposition is finally alive and kicking this year! The Republic functions better this way.
