your top three must-read-daily political blogs/news sites?
i admit it, i am hooked on election activity, and spend more time than i should keeping up to date on what's going on in various remote campaigns (while doing all i can to help out w/ field work, too, of course).

other than DU, dailykos, & mydd, and the mainstream news sites, which blogs and websites are worth checking every day for news and insights?

i am fond of http://glenngreenwald.blogspot.com/">Glenn Greenwald's "Unclaimed Territory" and the "war room" on www.salon.com (watch the ad or sign up for a WELL or Premium account to read w/o the ad--it's worth it).

1. BartCop and Salon. After DU, there is nothing.
I'll occasionally go to places recommended by these sites, especially if they link, but these are the two I browse aside from DU.

BartCop would probably anger a lot of people here on DU; he wants Democrats to win, instead of crawing into a corner and shivering. His radio podcasts cost a subscription fee, but are lots of fun. And the BartCop Entertainment site is the best compilation of "fun news" you can find.

And Salon is just plain a fine magazine in Internet form, well worth paying for. The only ugly part of it is the TV critic, Heather Havrilesky, a cappucino-sipping poseur who hates TV and the people who watch it. Yes, she hates the people who read her column, too. I guess the bohemian pseudo-intellectual life really screws up your sanity.

5. Get them all on one page. Real News Network
give it 1 minute to load because it is importing the headlines from all the alternative news sites on to one page.

7. DU is basically my "one-stop shopping" site.
I tend to follow recommended links, but I pretty much always start here.
