A file allegedly suppressed by Congresswoman Heather Wilson (R-NM) has been obtained by RAW STORY.

In 1995, just three days into her tenure as Secretary of the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department, Wilson removed a routine working file alleging that her husband had engaged in inappropriate contact with a minor. The file was then transferred to the department's attorney in her own Albuquerque office, where it soon went missing.

At the time, a local investigative news team learned about the swap, but could not confirm certain details of the file. They were not able to recover the document itself.

More than ten years later, RAW STORY has uncovered and confirmed the authenticity of the police incident report believed to be contained in the missing dossier. Filed as a case of child abuse in 1993, it contends that Wilson's husband Jay Hone, an Albuquerque attorney, touched a then-16 year old boy "in a manner that was not welcome."

We're going to have to explain that and defend Rawstory every time it's brought up, otherwise it's going to be focused back on Rawstory as being another "Liberal blah blah blah" with their credibility questioned instead of being focused on Wilson. Wilson is the focus and it should stay on her.

IMO, could be something...or it could be nothing as to what went on with Hone.

But.......the bottom line is that whether or not is was a problem, Wilson made the file disappear and no matter what, that is totally a wrong thing to do.

Just a reminder...Wilson's election stunk to high heavens and the problems were so well documented that Richardson who was sued over it settled the suit by doing the right thing - he went to paper ballots for NM and did it like a real professional. The whole election fraud problem in Bernallio County was uncovered by the www.VoterAction.org voting rights group, which rocks.

The Republicans have a new ad out. It shows OBL and a ticking clock, and ends with the Daisy Girl scene, where an atom bomb goes off and blows the little girl away. Just like the famous Lyndon Johnson ad against Barry Goldwater.

The last time the Republicans ran a Daisy Girl ad, the poor little girl featured in the ad was molested by the Republican consultant who made it. We should pont this out as our response to the latest Daisy Girl ad.

There was another Daisy Girl remake against Al Gore during the 2000 election. It was made by Republican political consultant and ad producer Carey Lee Cramer. The girl he featured as the Daisy Girl was his 9-year-old stepdaughter.

Cramer was convicted of molesting his stepdaughter and another girl. From the June 29th issue of "The Monitor," a McAllen, Texas newspaper:

"Cramer, 44, of Tucson, Ariz., was convicted Tuesday of aggravated sexual assault of a child, two counts of indecency with a child by contact and one count of indecency with a child by exposure."

He received a six year prison sentence, ten years probation, and a $30,000 fine.

He was accused of molesting the girl before, during, and after the filming of the ad.

State time in Texas ain't easy- especially for child molesters. Let's hope Carey Lee Cramer is now forced to be a special little "Daisy Girl" for the entire cellblock.
