Whoa! AZ-Sen race significantly tightening?
Edited on Tue Oct-24-06 03:41 PM by longship
Daily Kos is reporting an ASU poll that puts Pederson within two points of Senator Kyl in AZ. (See third bullet at link.)

This is one of my benchmarks for a true Democratic tsunami in November. If Pederson is making the AZ Senate race competitive, then there are going to be many embarassed Repukes on November 8th. This race has pretty much always been considered safe for the Repukes and AZ is still a conservative state. If Kyl, who has been running a pretty steady campaign, is in trouble, no seat is safe for the Repugnicans.

2. Always assuming that Diebold counts the votes; ...
and that voter-ID laws and voter-list purges don't keep too many Dems from voting.

5. Stop it, please.
If you're so worried about this electoral stealing I *know* that you have volunteered all over the place. I know I am concerned, but that's why I *have* volunteered and give all that I can. Please consider using your intelligence for something constructive instead of posting "They'll steal it" posts in optimistic threads. To whoever is doing it, it's getting tiresome.

Please, get to work.

3. The Wave is reaching Arizona

and it should be showing up in southern Nevada and southern California soon, too.

I don't know whether "Pedersen is making the AZ Senate race competitive" is the right place to start. The present Democratic resurgence is first a wave of 50-70% of conservative Democrats letting go of support of hardline Republicans and going over to Democrats. The second wave is moderate Republicans deciding to not vote for hardline Republicans- and, mostly, not for Democrats either.

In the Midwest the first part is more noticeable. In the Southwest, probably the second.

4. I'll be proudly voting for Pederson tonight on my mail in ballot.
I'm so glad to hear how the race has tightened. The local news in Phoenix doesn't say a word about any polls. Guess the 'librul media' doesn't want to report that Pederson has a chance.

6. Holy hell! Locally, we feel that Mitchell is a sure thing
But Pederson iffy because Kyl is one helluva smarmy bastard.

This would be beyond lovely!
